I've been teaching this for years....literally. But it usually takes like, two class periods. You did it in 14 and a half minutes. Terrific. One thing my students struggle with is the "why" question....that is, why are there different perspectives. I find that's the hardest lesson to teach about the perspectives. Thanks for posting this.

Regarding that compliment I extended due to your providing references, now that I am listening and viewing for the third time, I am wishing the references were easier to read. I used a magnifying glass and while I do appreciate the credits being listed, using the list you provided requires participation beyond my expectation. A silly complaint, perhaps. And valid, perhaps. All in all, very helpful material for the purpose of clearer communication between client and clinician. Sincere thanks.

please do a video on the differences of applied and theoretical psychology. I just can not fully grasp the understanding other than one is applied to real life and the other theoretical. But once you make questions more complex like determining what makes people happy and eyewitness accounts influenced by memory and recall, I am unable to determine what applied and what is basic.

I’m currently a freshman in highschool and i’m still trying to find what career I wasn’t to pursue. I’m always curious as to why people behave a certain way and why they behave that way. I was researching more into neuroscience but it didn’t sound very interesting but now looking into psychology I now know what i wanna do. I want to pursue psychodynamic psychology.

I solidified what I wanted to do right before my freshman year of high school, and now I’m in college chasing my dreams of entering the medical field. It’s going to be a wild ride at times, but as long as you remember your goals, and keep pushing, you’ll be good. You’re gonna do amazing things!

Falling back into dysfunctional patterns when presented with honest, caring and authentic feedback… it’s very sad… the courage to raise out of it a little can spread light. It’s funny, not ha ha funny… calling people “lost” or victim blaming… it highlights dual process dysfunction at times, but over analysis can also not be good as progress is needed for Movement and understandings. It’s what some spaces like art therapy and “lock systems” of realizations can help… but it’s kinda like anti biotics… a half round causes far more damage. It’s workable y’all, try to breathe. I’m working on it too. We all are… none of us are perfect.

Can u please tell me diffdrence between models and perspective of psychology?
@profnewton88644 жыл бұрын
I'm using the terms interchangeably here. Each perspective or model is a different way of looking at psychology. They're like a lens through which we view behavior and mental processes.
