So helpful! In looking for answers to some of the interactions that are difficult for me in my life, I'm seeing that my own behavior and thinking is often in the counterpart to the issues I'm having with other people's behaviors. It gives me things to work on in these situations rather than focus on what the other person is doing/not doing. Very motivating and actionable. Thank you!

Thank you for all you are doing for so many with this channel. These skills and concepts were not available to so many that couldn’t afford expensive therapy. It really is a gift.

great concept. I learned boundaries but didn't practice the empathy side and wondered why life was challenging despite me learning the importance of boundaries. its a great learning model

Dr. Maika, could you please make a separate video on projection and splitting as it's so important to not fall into such self-deceptions to be mature!

I'll write down your request and think about it!

@@DrMaikaSteinborn Many thanks... I've liked many of your videos and even your replies to comments as they're very insightful. And Dr Maika please don't worry about your accent as your intellect shines beyond any language barriers. You're awesome.

Great video, very informative. I like that you've empathised the importance of balance in those skills. And to me emotional maturity is usually an indication of our childhood. If we were raised by emotionally immature people we would go into adulthood without necessary skills. That's because it's all we learned. Luckily it's never too late to learn and practice new skills and more importantly unlearn the unhealthy strategies that we picked up.

Number 9 is like cycle for me, although the rest sometimes feels like I am procrastinating, which I definitely do a lot anyway. Complicated tasks can be an escape followed by cultural activities to rest, this feels great but sometimes I miss important stuff, but maybe not as much as I used to.

Yes, that's a topic that's important to me, and I will keep creating videos on it. For now, you can check out older videos in my self-esteem playlist: kzbin.info/aero/PLzRKYOPcN3c-6G8eP-v62qq009e1SGnve
