Yes, the law is clearly established that non-cops can use profanity to a cop, while on duty and in official capacity. Many cops actually do not know this, others choose to ignore it. What can get one arrested though is if a third party individual (one of the general public) hears a profanity directed towards a cop, and declares that (usually after the cop directly asking them) the word was offensive to them. That has happened more than once before

More likely it will be one, with about 50 cops on it and 10 defendants. The suit showing a PATTERN of consistent and repeated violations, and failure by leadership to address the issues, but rather encouraging the bad behavior.

I have a lawsuit pending now against the officers for false arrest and assault, C/Os for the illegal body cavity search and then the police spokesperson for claiming I beat up the cop AFTER the grand jury issued a No True Bill on all charges.

If we didn't record the police I'd be spending the next two years doing open records requests for body cams to tell this story, and by then, everyone will have forgotten about it. Our cameras PROVE their lies, and clearly Tucson police have a lot to hide.

@@JamesFreeman1 I requested police in my city be required to wear body cameras 4 years ago when it was actually considered a controversial stance to have. They not only retaliated against me but also my mother by having Undercovers follow her around for almost a year because they couldn't break me. They would pull out their cell phones, drive in front of us and stop and take pictures of her or I and they gave her a mental breakdown. Fck 12.

id like to be in law enforcement one day and i will do everything i can follow the law to a tee and respect everyone's rights. i love to see this exposure of injustice in policing and i hope to enact change from within.
