How dry are the compartments? I don’t see much of a raised edge/lip to keep the water out. (I have same issue)

@@derektaylorfishing i had the same with the smaller boat with a 150… boxes leak bad in the rain.. Vexus has sealed fiberglass boxes.. i had Ranger stamped on my butt but not after the first rain event

Really wanted a Ranger aluminum. Either one of these or an RT series but the price of new boats is really just stupid. So I purchased a 1996 481 VS with a 2 stroke Johnson 150 for $8K Absolutely love that boat lol

Glorified Bass Tracker. I own 2016 Z520 and a 2024 Vexus 189C..no comparison in quality of boxes. The Z520 is pre-Bass Pro influence. No compariosn.

@ yes but before the influences. I have had 10 rangers and can see the difference .. go open the lids on the Alpha or better yet put your tackle in them and go out in the rain. Then spend the next several days drying out your things..

Have you noticed that these pro anglers NEVER tell you how many tens of thousands of dollars these boats cost the way they have them rigged ? To satisfy my curiosity I just priced the boat with a 250 Merc 4 stroke, a 112lb spot lock, 2- 8' PP with brackets, 5 lithium batteries, and four 12" electronics. $113,000 plus taxes. I think I'll get two.

I appreciate you showing us your new boat, but it is just a longer version of a Ranger RT198P with a bigger engine and price tag. Would I buy that boat, NO. The price on your boat the way you have it equipped I would say low 70's to 75K. I can buy another RT198P for about 20K cheaper. Pro Bass is just trying to stay up with the Express Boats, I get that. I just feel by the time a person compare apples to oranges they will just buy a smaller fiberglass boat and be able to put the money they saved on the boat into electronics etc., etc.. I will be curious how the stretched aluminum holds up from cracking or splitting over time. I have seen other KZbinrs put out video's about issues with the aluminum hull cracking and welds not holding up, its not just Ranger but other manufactures as well.

Hopefully Ranger aluminum boats are better made than the Ranger fiberglass boats ever since Johnny Mart bought them. Ranger just laid off over 175 workers this week. Bidenomics is working fine. LOL

Actually it’s wired the same as the Ranger 520 R I ran last year. Upgraded to a power pole Move Trolling motor
