I have literally been waiting just over two years for this song to drop, since the snippet was released in mid Sept'21. And the whole song is a real joy and delight, worth the wait. The label who didn't like this really lost out on the deal, may her star rise, and out shine those who they put before Courtney.

Hi Phillip. Great reaction. Courtney is amazing. The best thing to happen to music in forever. A true generational level talent and, to many of us, the voice of a lifetime. She has one of the most beautiful and versatile voices in music. She can sing virtually anything and there is never a drop off in the incredible quality of her music. Whether it's Rock, R&B, Funk, Soul or Ballads, her vocals are always exquisite and one can connect emotionally with her listeners when she sings like Courtney can. She sings with so much passion and intensity I know you've only heard a few of Courtney's songs, so you maybe wouldn't know this, but most people think of Courtney first as this incredible stage dominating rocker and only realized later what a gorgeous voice she has across all genres. That's because when she took the world by storm when she appeared on America's Got Talent (AGT) in 2018, she sang exclusively classic rock from the 60's and 70's by the likes of James Brown, Tina Turner and Janis Joplin and blew the roof off of the arena with every performance. These classic artists are her true musical inspirations. When she went independent at the beginning of this year, her first three releases were all non-rock. First, there was the gritty ballad 'Breakable', then there was her uptempo jazzy number , 'That Girl Don't Live Here', and then the intense 'Call Me Back' that will break your heart every time you listen to it. However, it was only a matter of time before Courtney was going to release a song that unleashes her incredible vocal power, and this song is it. This song is already a hit. Release day was magical as the song climbed to the top of rock charts around the world. #5 in the US, #2 in Australia, #6 in the UK, #4 in Sweden, # 13 in Spain, etc.etc. The official music video should be out in a week or two and I hope you can do a reaction to that as well, because Courtney's creativity is incredible and her music videos are always brilliant. For now, we need to all listen, stream and share this magnificent rock anthem as much as possible so that we can drive this spectacular song to the top of the charts across the world and keep it there. This song is so good, that everyone on the planet needs to hear it. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

You my man, are very aware and cool. I want to say many people from my era or maybe just my area I grew up with (mostly guys) who love rock music didn't really pay much mind to the words of a song. Maybe we got the hook repeating in our heads. Usually made up whatever words we didn't catch, which were many. Now that I'm older I pay a little more attention to the story of the song. I've noticed Courtney's lyrics are almost always meaningful and you really have to pay attention to see what her story is. Kevin Bowe, her producer also gives his story/input to the story. And does a great job with the music/instrumentation and production. The thing I feel Courtney has over most everyone these days is her delivery. Her syncopation is so rhythmic and spot on, which really adds to the energy and makes you want to get up and go. Can't wait for the video to this one. She said she's gonna got nuts and do a performance video. Imagine Courtney back performing again. That's another thing she's the best at, among so many things, and not just the music. She self promoted this song better than any other label would have. This song has been charting across the world. Imagine that, a newbie in the business for the most part promoting her own song and keeping up with all the legends. Very very impressive.

@@rickrhoden1 Yeah Rick, you know my comments by now. I speak how I feel and this one comes from the heart and I really believe it to be true. I'm biased, but I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in my thinking. 😁 I could have gone on. And I realize I left out a lot of deserving details, but I'm trying to keep it shorter these days and hopefully more to the point. It ain't easy when commenting about great talent. There's always so much more to say.

I think "melodic rock" is right on. To me that's what makes Courtney unique and memorable. Most current rock/heavy metal is just loud and beat heavy. Courtney bridges a gap between contemporary pop melodies (though they are often not memorable either) and heavy rock with her incomparable vocalizations and interesting and melodic song structure.

It's coming, soon as she can finish it and get it up. She's done each of three prior original singles released this year since she got free of contract and interfering individuals/organizations not interested in having her do her music in her way. Not sure why they signed her back in Dec 2018 if they just wanted to change her?! Probably lost in translation when Simon sold off SYCO Music and traded in music biz for...wait for it...reality tv..... I'm pretty sure the setting for her music video is shown in snapshot on her new lyric video for Monsters just recently posted on her channel. I can almost see it now.... This hard-working young lady goes OLD SCHOOL!! By the way, notice she's done all this INDIE, independent artist, no big moneybags funding her. And heck no, despite some idiotic vids on YT, she is NOT rich, independently wealthy, sitting on a giant 'advance' from her contract. A music biz 'advance' is a horrendous LOAN that would make any loan shark proud, tying up Intellectual Property in draconian restrictions, pulling all artist IP into dragon's horde, with ruinous interest rate and reams of paper for Hollywood lawyers to argue over spending tens of thousands of dollars per hour. Oh, yeah, SURE she got out of all that with tons of funds...and if you believe she's rich, I know of a great bridge for sale, cheap! Call me back....
