I think C and D are wrong, on the ASIA Scale form it states that: ASIA C- Motor Incomplete- Less than half the key muscle functions (50%) below the neurological level have a muscle grade at least 3 or higher
@PTExamPrep4 жыл бұрын
Hey Shannon! What you wrote above matches what is in the video, which is correct. Is there somewhere else you are seeing something that is incorrect. I would love to solve any discrepancies
@shannonhall57974 жыл бұрын
@@PTExamPrep I see on ASIA C for Motor Incomplete it says, "More than half the key muscles" when it should say, "Less than half the key muscles" and then for ASIA D for Motor Incomplete it says, "More than half of the key muscles" it's just, "At least half (half or more)".
@PTExamPrep4 жыл бұрын
@@shannonhall5797 My apologies, I am still not quite understanding the confusion. ASIA C means that more than 50% of the key muscles have a grade less than 3. So that would mean 6 or more muscles are less than grade 3. ASIA D means that 50% of muscles are higher than grade 3. Perhaps the confusion is in the wording where it says half the key muscles are less than grade 3 (ASIA C) or more than grade 3 (ASIA D)
@brandontodd143 жыл бұрын
@@PTExamPrep Per the ASIA form, ASIA D verbatim is: "Motor function is preserved below the neurological level, and AT LEAST half of key muscles below the neurological level have a muscle grade of 3 or more." In the video it classifies ASIA D as: more than half of the muscles below the NLI have a muscle grade greater or equal to 3. So which is it? For example, what if exactly half of the muscles have a score of 3?
