My company took about 25 hours of my pto when i had 41 and i only used 7 hours then i was left with a balance of 7-8 hours… i didn’t get paid out and my company says they going to figure out what it’s about and never do… should i lawyer up?

I take my paid time off usually in September since it's not too hot or cold. People at work are upset with me because I have so many hours, but I go to work on my scheduled time and I don't have any kids or family members to always worry about. I gain my hours fairly and have only called off maybe 6 times in 9 years! I still get people who want some of my hours and will always tell them no because they should be old enough to make them themselves.

My employer restored my PTO after my FMLA was approved > it’s the end of the year and he won’t let me take any PTO hours to see my dr. It’s the end of the year & he says “use it or lose it” > “nope, you cannot take PTO.”

Would you make a video or answer questions on deducting available PTO for salaried employees when employees miss "mandatory" meetings or training provided at the expense of the company? What is the process (or is there one) for deducting for one half day when the salaried employee who is not sick or injured decides to not show up for a mandatory training or meeting?

So at the beginning of this year I had gotten a raise. I work based on commission. I had it for 1 week then my company changed the pto policy. They then took all of our raises and said to make the same money you have to game the system and the money is the same. Meaning put in for pto and come in to work to increase your pay for the amount of pto time. Can they legally do this? I have been with only this company for 3 years now having to work a second job and it’s affecting my main job. Any advice?

So my company only offers PTO which they say is also our sick pay, but we have to accumulate hours to use it, aren’t we supposed to start off with 24 hours of sick pay by California law. I only have 12 hours and I’ve been with my company for 6 months lol

my previous company is in Indiana, but I worked in Illinois. Their policy is to pay out PTO upon separation. I have a sneaky suspicion that they are going to conveniently forget since it is about 10k. I think my only option is to lawyer up. What do you think?

I been working a my job for two years & I have Sick hour, vacation hours & PTO I see my hour for the first two but for PTO is always zero. I was wondering why is that?

If you're off on the weekends then no. Pto is paid time off so if you're approved then whatever day you take off is covered and not have to be made up.

I am a business owner and I have employees that will call in sick the day of, and will try to put in PTO on that day, if they have PTO available. Is that the correct way to use PTO? I require employees to put in PTO 2 weeks before. I feel that I get taken advantage of because I do not have a sick policy for time off, but I am losing that employees productivity for the day and yet have to pay them. Can you help with some guidance?

I work at Walgreens I’m a pharmacy technician I requested 11 days of pto 2 months in advanced my pto is being denied because we are short staffed my manager had two months to hire somebody or look for someone to cover she told me to look for someone to call other Walgreens around to see if anyone can cover I never had to do that she says she’s been looking around but don’t know to belive her should I just quit working there ?

Yes. I worked at walgreens as a tech. Worse job I ever had. Do mail order pharmacy! 10x better and they pay more
