First....We pay taxes for the roads to be built...Then we pay gas taxes and registration taxes,.....then they make a bond and we pay MORE property taxes;;;;Then we have to pay to drive on it!

sikovit a semi truck pays over 3k a year in registration plus an extra 650.00 to the irs a tax on diesel and cant even drive on all roads only posted truck routes i dont see how it is legal to do this charging to use something we all pay for already where the hell is all the taxes we pay for roads and schools oh yea in some politicians pocket for "reelection "

Tolls are demanded. Taxes are not. This is contrary to belief instead of practices.

We need truck/commercial vehicle by-pass routes on the toll ways in Houston, Austin, and Dallas- Ft.Worth areas, and the elimination of tolls for commercial vehicles, of which pay approximately 15 to 20 times more in fuel and road tax than automobiles. Truck by-passes exist all over the country in medium and large cities and towns. The Texas Department of Transportation and/or the state legislature, of which is in session now until May 2019, can make this happen for the people.

I'd like to see tolls on all freeways. People should pay for what they use. I don't think freebies are good psychologically--or from an efficiency perspective. The lady in this video said she can't avoid the tolls. That is not true. She could move closer to work. Or she could get a different job.

if you consider the fact that over 200 billion dollars go to military alone then you cant charge ppl for roads that are supposed to be constitutionally free!
