I've been dealing with this issue for 1 year and 6 months. I can't find my initial comment from 6 months ago, so I will write a new one, as I have an update. Back then I mentioned that last year (2023) these exercises caused triggers for me, which caused burning sensation. I had also mentioned that I started using a tennisball sized cork ball which made a big difference. Since April I also went to physical therapy and my therapist is specialized in pelvic floor issues. She basically goes internal to give relief to what causes the nerve pain, but I want to stress that the most helpful were cork ball exercises that I developed for myself: I sat on the ground, lifted myself up and moved one side of butt cheeks over the cork ball, and basically massaged the areas deep in the tissue that hurt the most. When the left cheek was massaged, my left leg was placed over my right leg to expose the muscles more to the cork ball. After a while I did the same on the other side but switched legs. After that, I got up and just jumped up and down to get the blood flow through all of that. It immediately relieved the tingling, itching or burning sensation. I kept doing this everyday for 5 months. Recently (May 2024) I also joined a gym and I go there twice a week to exercise my butt muscles. Today June 30th my symptoms are so minimal, life is as good as back to normal, I'm sure if I just keep doing this they will be gone for good. The cause for me was straining the butt muscles over a long period of time while working on a laptop, without any exercise. To whoever will read this, I hope my experience will help you get well again, too.

How do you heal from pudendus nerve damage ?
@lavifil943 Жыл бұрын
Hi, I was wondering if you could with an issue I have. I’m very flexible, so when I’m stretching against the wall, I feel a little tightness in my inner thighs. But I also feel strong tension in what I think is a muscle (below my hip bone and a little bit towards the groin, I can feel its tightness with my hand). And when I lie against the wall for a while, these muscles get tight and I can’t lift my legs back so I need to lift them with my hands. I don’t know if it’s tight hip abductors or psoas or something else, but I feel like it’s contributing to my pelvic floor issues too. I used to be able to do splits and I only developed this tightness a couple of years, I think from sitting cross legged at my desk job. Sorry for the long post but I was wondering if you could tell what the issue might be? Thank you
@DrMelissaOleson Жыл бұрын
Hi there! I always recommend seeing your healthcare provider for what is best for you. Sitting a lot can create tension and tightness as well as not having an optimized core and pelvic floor system. Breathing and posture are 2 keys for this and can contribute to tension and tightness.

I am Ilir, I really like your videos, I have pain in my penis and the lower part of my abdomen, I have been to different urologists, they have diagnosed me with chronic pain in the pelvic muscles. They sent me to physiotherapy for pelvic muscles. It helped me get rid of the pain in my penis, but I still have a problem with erection and numbness in my penis, I can't feel the touch. Now I have started doing your exercises for 2 days, it has helped me and I feel very good! What else did you suggest I do?❤❤❤

@DrMelissaOleson2 жыл бұрын
Really great question and so glad to hear you checked in with your doctor, so important! Yes some people can have rectal pain caused from pudenal nerve irritation. Everyone is different in what exercises and how often so listening to your body is best. These exercises coupled with your breathing can be done daily, some people find every other day, and some find a few times a day helpful. It's important to not over stretch and be very gentle and continue to keep listening to your body. Keep up the good work 💕

@TibetanFox682 жыл бұрын
I've had it for 22 years. I gave up a sitting job and started walking regularly, and that helped a bit, but it still causes problems. I tried acupuncture, injections, read a few books about pain management, self-hypnosis, but they didn't help. I DO however think it can be self-caused, perhaps your body created it to avoid doing things, and could be tied to anxiety (John Sarno did an interesting book about this). It could also be trigger points. There is some stuff on the internet about all these things.
