Raft story number 1 - The time Aaron, Eddie and myself went out for a fun filled day of fishing and the motor seized up. We had two oars, one life jacket, a slow leaking raft and "miles" from shore. By far one of the best, most memorable experiences of my life. Great video by the way!

You need to get down there. There is good corvina and pompano fishing from shore . You can also hire out to do a day trip for around $60.

This is the biggest I've caught there. I've seen a few small hammerheads caught and some guitarfish (shovelnose shark) caught from shore.

Do you need a special license for your boat and engine in Rocky point as us citizen when it is inflatable boat? I understand we need to buy fishing license when fishing from the boat. Could you harvest the shark if you had place to do that? Great video! Thank you for sharing.

I think it would have been legal to keep the shark, but I'm not entirely sure on that. There is a place right across the municipal boat ramp in Puerto Penasco that sells all the licences and legal things that you need. I imagine you can do it online, but I've never tried.

I believe you only need a license for fishing on a boat if you go a certain distance off shore , at least that's what I remember

​@@HuntGatherChattersis it safe over on that side ? I've always heard bad things about over there.... when I go down there we always have camped at the reef in our RV but would like to go visit there side for the day

I feel like it is just safe enough to visit once every year or two. It's a shame it's not safer so that I feel I could go as often as I want. There are a lot of retirees that live down there during the winter, but I believe they are rolling the dice a little by doing so.@@Masterk1988

@@HuntGatherChatters bummer I think I'll stick with over by the reef than, we go down 4 times a yr for the long distance desert races we do so we're always in a huge group which keeps us safe . Unless I can get a big group together to go over there for the day or something
