Pulled this one together pretty quickly, as I was desperate to cook on this new grill! What should I cook next?!

Did pulled pork for the first time yesterday after watching this video - had an epic stall but after 10 hours it was absolutely tremendous. Thanks for the inspiration dude!

Excellent informative videos. I was going to buy a Weber Mastertouch, but I’ve been thinking of a PK 300. I have a char griller which is solid and have had for about 8 years and still looks good as new as I season it regularly. I like the look and function’s of the PK, so I think I will order the PK AF 300 from Pro Smoke.

Finally smoked my first PK pork butt the other day. Not quite as good smoke flavor as off my offset smoker but the weather wasn’t the best for tending a fire. Even in the cool wind the grill held temps better than I expected, and I completely agree, it’s quite efficient in terms of fuel usage. Also, my wife confirmed it had a lot more smoke flavor than if cooked on my Kamado Joe. Tell you what! That new PK and your offset smoker in the background are two of the best cookers a guy could have! Good video!

I have a pk360. When ever I do low and slow cooks, all the ash chokes out the fire at the end of the cook. There is no way to get rid of the ash like you can on a Weber kettle…. Any ideas?

I’m a salt and pepper guy on brisket, beef ribs, etc but it just does not work for pork. Has to have more spices with it. The only time you’ll find me disagreed with many of the great pitmasters in Texas but I don’t think they use just S&P either…
@WilsonsBBQ3 жыл бұрын
That’s fair! I genuinely just prefer simple salt and pepper on pretty much all bbq. I’m not a huge fan of sweet rubs, or too much garlic powder. I like to keep it fairly plain with salt pepper and smoke, and add sauce /pickles for a sandwich. I often use leftovers for tacos etc so it’s rare it would be eaten without something a lil extra!
