I just turned 25. For my birthday I'm gifting myself by falling in love with exercising again. I've always wanted to be able to do a pull up. Maybe this time next year I will be there. *edit* did a pull-up, and ran a 10 mile Tough Mudder (I couldn't run a mile 2 years ago). I will be running another Tough Mudder and doing an Oktoberfest 5k, with a goal of being able to run a marathon next year. My depression is infinitely better, I no longer struggle with agoraphobia and have gotten to a place where my therapist said I no longer require services. I've been more active in my family's life, and in the community. I've re-entered the art scene and started pursuing my passions again. Thank you for this content and the help on this crucial first step. Getting healthy and active has changed my life

@@matorsoni45 I'm still on wall pull-ups so far. But thanks to Hampton, I've gone from not being able to do pushups, to doing 40-60 knee push-ups a day. After I get my basics down I hope to tackle the pull up. As a girl, it seems daunting, but I've always wanted to do one.

4:30 Negative pull ups are good because your body is stronger on the eccentric phase of the movement than it is on the concentric phase. So it is a middle step between one progression and the next. But your system is perfect anyways.

Hi, your videos are good keep up good work and good vibes. 👍👍 Here is my OAC progression: 10 pull ups, Archers on rings ( neutral or chin up grip) OAC with assistence(in my case rings, also I would combine this exercise with negatives later on) Negatives( full motion in control ) Negatives +5 kg One arm chin up Description: Archer pull ups on rings: I would pull up first and then extend the arm 'n' hold for few seconds, get back lower your self and do same for opposite arm. Negatives: I was doing them for while thinking Negative will one day be a positive, but it didn't. I only got good at them. Negatives +5kg: after mastering one arm negatives I added weight, just after first sesh after 2 days of rest I did one arm chin up from 90° degrees bent arm position 👍. After that just keep doing one arm chin up from 90° and slowly increase your motion, also keep doing negatives 5+ and time will tell. Hopfully this will help.
