Pulp Fiction: Apartment Scene Complete Edit

I wonder what would happen if Brett said he DID look like a bitch. I decided to edit together the famous apartment scene in Pulp Fiction into 1 whole sequence to see how it would play out without a whole movie between it. It took very little time but I thought it would be interesting, one day I would like to edit the film together in order for my own personal pleasure... one day.
This video is for educational use, I do not own the footage used and I do not gain money from it's use. Is that better Miramax? You cunts.

1 million views, damn, never thought I'd see this. Thank you all for watching and hopefully enjoying this. I hope the audio issues aren't too much of a bother, trying to get the video together on my shitty laptop was such a pain I didn't properly check it for errors, and it annoys me more than it does anyone else, trust me. Since I've been getting so much traffic from this maybe I'll think about making some kind of content so these subs aren't wasted, but that's a strong maybe, so don't hold me to it too much. I really appreciate the kind words and support, glad I'm not the only one who thought this was a good idea.

The actor who played Brett was incredible…Samuel Jackson absolutely obliterated the scene but the actor who played Brett was amazing, the look on his face throughout the whole sequence was pure and undiluted anxiety…He knew someone was gonna die, but when Vincent found the money and he said “We are happy” Brett must have thought things were going good because he suddenly starts acting calmer and even asking jules his name…Then reality hit him big time when his buddy is shot dead.

The dialogue is just so good, so clever, so hilarious and just genius. Tarantino’s writing is an art of its own, its what makes Pulp Fiction a great film and its sad that no Hollywood film has ever come anywhere close to his level of writing or even recognized that dialogue could be equally or even more exciting than plot or world as clearly proven here by Tarantino.

No, those are great movies but they do not have a dialogue as great as Pulp fiction. Pulp fiction is full of random dialogues that don’t have anything to do with the part or what they are doing and they fit perfectly. They just have random conversations that makes u want to keep listening even though there’s a very important plot or event going down or about to happen and these dialogues makes u “forget” about the point of the scene. It’s so perfect it’s unreal only Tarantino can do that. Not to knock on any if those movies it’s just that Quentin Tarantino is just to good he is the best when it comes to writing scripts and dialogues that grab u and make u forget about the whole movie and makes u want to keep listening to a random conversation. I’ve seen those other movies a bunch of times and they all have great scripts and dialogues but mostly they have to do with the plot or part of the movie they are in it’s not like this for example what the hell does the metric system , how they call a hamburger in France, how he’s pretty much turned into a vegetarian have to do with the movie and that’s only an extremely small sample of the movie. It’s pure art. I can’t imagine how it must of felt watching that movie for the first time at the theater when it just came out. Oh and btw reservoir dogs doesn’t get the respect it deserves that movie also has such great dialogues …god damn.

@@chilitopo1167 That's one of my biggest gripes for the later seasons of Game of Thrones. The first 4 seasons had some incredible dialogue between/amongst its characters. The latter seasons really lacked in that department and just became mostly about overdone action scenes without much substance.

What's so amazing about this scene is how Jules psychologically dominates these guys before taking them out. He took the fight out of them before they could even think of retaliating. He kept them seated and reclined, talked down to them, ate their food in front of them, made it clear who was in charge. And when Brett started getting some bravado back Jules killed his buddy to prove a point and 'break his concentration'.

One thing I love about this scene is how it sort of sets up the viewer with the opposite impression of the kind of characters that Jules and Vince are. Jules appears to be the more explosive of the two, as he does all the talking, intimidating, and even fires his gun more times than Vince does. Meanwhile, Vince appears to be the more calm and collected. Just Idly loitering in the background, not saying a word, and only getting involved in the action when it’s time to start blasting. One might assume that Jules is the more unhinged one, while Vince is the more professional. But in actuality, the opposite is true.

This is the scene that made Samuel L Jackson. He always stole the scene in the roles before him, Jurassic Park, Menace II Society, Coming to America, etc., but Quentin let him have at it in this scene and he did not disappoint. I believe this was Samuel's first monologue as well.

It actually was divine intervention as you can see when Jules moves the bullets are right behind him as if they last right through leaving them unharmed. It was God giving them a 2nd chance to redeem themselves. Which you can see Jules takes at the end of the movie and he gets to live the rest of his life. Vincent on the other hand ignored Gods grace and got gunned down coming out of the bathroom by Bruce Willis’s character. Added much more depth to this scene to see that Vincent was the one to get gunned down after Jules left. You could think though if Jules was still there with Vincent in Bruce Willis’s apartment maybe he would still be alive bc Jules would’ve still had his back. But Jules saw the light and Vincent did not. There was a life lesson in this movie which made all of these random events that had no direct arch have meaning. Easily Quinten Tarantino’s best movie hands down it’s a really close call between this movie and Inglourious Bastards

5:34 "Marcellus Wallace don't like to be fucked by anybody except Mrs Wallace". A smooth, subtle foreshadow what's gonna happen to Marcellus in one of later scenes. I realize great new details every time I watch this masterpiece.

A background event I always appreciated was how Vincent puts out his cigarette when Jules mentions the Bible. He knows exactly what is about to happen next.

You know why Jules finished his drink? Because the guy he killed wasn’t gonna finish it anyway. Nice little detail.

more like a stupid twisted little detail from your own head. a bully is a bully, and a bully won't take such thing in consideration as an act of politeness if he was going to spare his life. he would still drink it all if he feel like he want to. you should have said (Jules finished his drink in an attempt to tell him "your time is over") that would have made more sense. and no it's not the same.

Samuel L. Jackson maybe super spy Nick Fury in almost every Marvel ever made but to me he’s local hitman Jules Winnfield in 1994 Pulp Fiction.
