I like the areas of your videos. High school in the early 70s. This property with the house and block garage belonged to a friend of mine back then. Brings back memories. Keep up the great work.

Thank you so much, Francis. I really enjoyed reading your comment. I’m glad you’re enjoying the memories. I really appreciate you taking the time to let me know. It’s good people like yourself that keep me doing what I wanna do as long as people are enjoying the memories. I will keep filming these places.

This looks like it was once a nice little store. The outside of this building is in good shape and the interior looks good too. Someone is maintaining this place because the grass has been cut. If you did this video a couple of years ago, that's a long time for someone to maintain this property when the building is sitting empty. Well, I give them a high five because at least they care and are not letting this place go to the thieves, gangs and opportunist who would destroy it. I hope they can sell it to someone who will reopen it. I would love to see that happen. With that sign it makes me think that it's a great kind of store they can open as a tourist stop. They can put unique things inside their specific to Indiana or the town that it's in. Out of towners who are visiting the area love those kinds of stores. I don't know. It's just the kind of vibe this building gives me. Like a Cracker Barrel store with the country store attached. I'm glad your back out there Paul. Hope you're doing well!!

I miss that place so much. Makes me sad when I drive by. Always wondered why they closed and why no one ever started it up again - seemed like they stayed busy. It was my favorite pizza and still is.

I think it was another casualty of toxic loans disaster and the evolving trend of the smart phone making people too lazy to visit each other or go out.

I agree Very much on that one it’s sad even the kids are too lazy to go outside and play

Steel storm quick question what are they planning to do with Horace Mann hs the school been closed for about 20 years now . Just curious that’s all bro 😎 😊
@TheSteelCityStorm3 ай бұрын
Hey Eric, my good man it’s never a problem answer any questions you have. From what I heard when they do start demolishing schools again horseman is definitely on the hit list. They just now started tearing those brownstone buildings like the Manchia Apartments down so I believe they’re gonna tear Horace Mann down also sometime pretty soon. I appreciate you reaching out and like I said anytime you have a question just ask away. Without good people like yourself doing these videos would not mean anything and I appreciate that from you very much. I hope you have a good holiday weekend my man and once again I appreciateyou, Brother ! 🫵😎🫵⛈️‼️

I went to Horace Mann. My mom drove my sister there from Schereville Heights every day so she could graduate from there in 1969. They said there was a pond on the south side of the school, but I don't remember the pond. It was a pretty school. Do you remember John Vohr grade school a block or 2 south of Horace Mann?😅
