Such an amazing performance to see live. They don't get enough love from reactors. I watch for Punch Brothers reactions all the time and was pleasantly surprised to see this one. Thanks.

I'm still early on in the video, so you may realize it at some point later and I just haven't seen it yet, but the lead singer/mandolin player of Punch Brothers is Chris Thile; you reacted to his solo performance of Another New World about a year ago, and at the end said you wanted to hear some of his collaborative stuff. Now you have! Next you should check out Nickel Creek: Holding Pattern, The Meadow, The Lighthouse Tale, Celebrants, This Side, When in Rome... any of them are great songs, and there are plenty more where they came from. Edit: As far as other Punch Brothers songs: My Oh My, Movement and Location, and Rye Whiskey should all fulfill what you're looking for.

You’re not wrong that familiarity feels like multiple songs. That is very intentional. You guys picked up the jazz and bluegrass influence, but the punch brothers are also fans of classical music. Familiarity is a miniature symphony. With 4 distinct movements.

Also, it's more that the violinist is playing the drums. This song is one of the only ones they use any kind of drums on, most of the time Thile is providing the more percussive elements of the song with his mandolin.

Great reaction! Try their song Rye Whiskey for more straight ahead bluegrass. They also have videos out there covering Radiohead, The Cars, The White Stripes. (And more). They are really excellent, I fell hard for this band.

This is self indulgent crap. Come on Chris you can do better.

This was their magnum opus, and they've only been downhill since this album (2015). I'm curious what you know of Thile that you think is possibly better than this.
