you are my hero. i could TKO him in the 2nd but never in the first. i never figured out the power of the delayed punch. Thanks for sharing.

The second punch is slightly delayed and takes more energy from Tyson. I can't beat him anymore. He gets me with the delayed punch. Great Job!

This game was one of the pioneers on its kind, years later came on Street Fighter. I miss nintendon games, I do love PS3 but i still miss the naivity and simpleness of good old games like punch out.
@DariusKant12 жыл бұрын
hahaha, it was the same way for me! i was born in 1983 and my older brother was able to finish all Nes game, except TMNT and Punch out. even after 20 years without playing Punch out, i still now the code to get to Tyson and, i still remember the day i beat him, i felt like rocky in Rocky 2 when i beat Apollo! it was awesome. just like you, i guess i was just like you, the happier kid of the world at this moment. so proud! haha. i never get such feeling after that when playing a video game.

Impressive. I usually just left him a sliver of health at the end of round 1 so I could attempt a round 2 TKO.
@HexidecimalBeefTrogg17 жыл бұрын
Good idea. I have done it a few times on an actual NES. Like I state in the description, this attempt was slowed down on an emulator (by 50%). My record on Tyson on an actual NES is 2:53. If I can get my NES working and a video camera, I might attempt to do that sometime in the future.

Tyson whopped my ass so many times on this game when I was 8. I got so pissed after countless losses to him I went into a rage and got in the zone one day, annihilated him pretty much just like this video, he didn't even hit me. :) You would have thought I'd won the lottery the way I was celebrating.
@propheccy11 жыл бұрын
nice job dude.. you make it look so easy... yet I know how fast you have to be vs Mike in this game... 1 false move and you're screwed! took me some tries to finally beat him... a flawless victory like this is really nice. thx for uploading, brings back old memories.. its been soo many years since I played this amazing Nintendo game. cheers dude
@sanitary1039 жыл бұрын
very impressive. the best I've done is 2nd round TKO. after years on hiatus, at the age of 35, I've recently decided to try and beat him again and it's been a terrible experience. I'm having a hard time getting past the first 1:30 and when I do I lost barely in the 3rd round. maybe it's my slower reflexes, who knows. hopefully I can beat it today!

So in the description it says this attempt was slowed down on an emulator so you can time the hits perfectly. This begs the question: can you knock out Tyson in 1 round when playing the game at regular speed?
@HexidecimalBeefTrogg10 жыл бұрын
I've done it quite a few times before when I was younger, although nowhere near the time I got in this video. Right now, my reflexes at the age of 32 have slowed down a lot, but I should try to see if I can TKO Tyson in the first round like the good ol' days.
@billny339 жыл бұрын
AriochStarr I can TKO him using no cheats. It's gotta be in round 3 though. But not the KO. That's tougher. My first ever win over Tyson as a kid was by decision though. I loved seeing the stunned look on Mike's face when Mario called me the winner. I'm sure I looked pretty stunned too.

@TheMerlinOfAR its possible but it can only be done in the third round and you have to knock tyson down twice with your hardest punches. I was in third grade when I did it and i had attempted it over ten times lol. He tried getting up on the 5 and 9 count but fell back down lol
@bigsheed900310 жыл бұрын
I remember the first time I made it to Tyson. I was shook like I was fighting Tyson for real. I made it thru the first round barely. The Bam! Bam! 2nd round KO Little Mac goes down! It took me a while to beat him. It was hard to time his punches because how fast he was.

The secret is in the delayed punching...in case anybody is wondering. It takes off much more of Tysons energy. When one gets Tyson down to "knockout" range...that is when you deliver quickly. Otherwise...practice the "nearly late" last punch.
@blackroostercreation9 жыл бұрын
That was basically the same strategy that I used as a kid, which is why I've never been able to figure out why people now talk about beating Mike Tyson being so difficult. It took time to learn, but maybe I just had too much spare time on my hands. lol
