I just brought home my first Cavalier yesterday and he has a similar story. He was brought home by a family at 8 weeks old then they had a baby and no longer wanted him. He was brought back to the breeder at about 4 months and now hes 6 months old. I was watching him for a while and couldn’t believe he hadnt been snatched up! Their loss is definitely my gain!

Teddy is adorable. He deserves a wonderful home. I thought you were going to say, "... So we decided to keep him "

I would love Teddy but I live in NC as I mentioned in an earlier comment. I lost my sweet companion on July 14 2023. Whenever I get another cavalier I want one from your family. They are all so well loved. Thank you for all your commitment to the breed. I watch you everyday. Blessings to you all your beautiful cavaliers.

My little Henry is the same age as Teddy. My Hazel is 8 months old. I would take him in a minute if I weren't already so busy! Love these Cavaliers. So funny, so smart. Keep up your posts. I am addicted to your dogs and your good information. Around Nebraska it is hard to find nice puppies. Hope sweet Teddy finds a great new home!

Hey Charlie, me and my fiancee are big fans of the channel. We would like to ask a question and maybe it also fits for your 'ask the breeder' series: if someone from europe, more specifically Germany ,would like to buy a cavalier from the US, like from you. How Complicated would it be? (eg, paperwork's additional vaccine's) Cheers.

I will answer your question on the next "Ask The Breeder" video - thanks for the idea!

I would take him in a flash but unfortunately I live in Australia and already have a tri colour and Blenheim. He is adorable 🥰

He is such a cute boy. I'M sure someone will adopt him very soon. Our cavalier looks to be a little shorter than Apple and Boo. Their legs look longer than ours. What is the average height of cavaliers or is there a height range they should be in?
@chaskat352 ай бұрын
The Breed Standard states that they should be 12 to 13 inches tall at the withers (top of the shoulder blade, just behind the base of the neck). Apple is just about 13 inches, so she is well within the Standard in that regard. Most judges don't like to see a dog that is too much "up on leg" but the true measure is not simply the height at the withers. We look at all of the dog's proportions, including its body length, depth of chest, etc., and the total picture should fit within what we picture the Cavalier profile to be.

We lost our beautiful Blenheim a few years ago and still cry for her teddy is so darling we live in manhattan how much are you charging for him
@chaskat352 ай бұрын
It's up to the breeder, but I believe she is asking $6000 for him. Just about all of the reputable breeders in this area are charging $6500 to $8000 now, so that would be a very fair price. If you are interested, you can call us at 631-427-3736, and we'll be happy to give you all the information we have about him. We'd be able to have you come here to meet Teddy, and you could also meet and speak with his breeder.

Do you follow Crufts? Wondered if you maybe knew the winning Cavalier from Connecticut.
@chaskat352 ай бұрын
Absolutely - Anne Eckersley is the first Cavalier breeder we met, about 40 years ago. Every one of our Cavaliers goes back to one of Anne's dogs if you go back 5 or 6 generations. We have a lot of respect for her; in fact, I have given wins to some of her current dogs when I judged. The girl that took the Breed at Crufts, however, I have not had the pleasure of judging.

Va tutto bene, ma c'è sempre così tanto da fare! Cerco di fare almeno 2 video ogni settimana, ma a volte ciò non accade. Buone notizie: la tua domanda sarà inclusa nel video che verrà pubblicato domani.
