I've seen a few dogs have an eye surgically removed and it always breaks my heart how strong and resilient they are. Like, you'd think losing an eye would make them sad or inhibit their life somehow, I know humans would feel saddened by it. But no, dogs bounce right back and are happy to even have just one eye. Hell, I'm wrong, they're happy to just be alive and loved. As proven by many deaf and completely blind dogs. D:

Animals generally bounce right back from enucleation because by the time an eye needs to be removed, it isn't functional and is just causing the animal pain anyway. It's not like vets are removing healthy eyes - they're removing eyes that can't see and that only serve as a source of pain and potential infection. Removing the eye removes the pain and the animal is left with the same amount of vision as it had before the surgery.

It's absolutely incredible how dogs adapt,I had a dog that contracted diabetes and sadly due to incompetent vets he went blind but to see how Rocky coped totally amazed me,he knew from memory the whole layout of my home as long as I didn't move the furniture he negotiated it with ease and would even go outside to do his business whilst bumping into nothing in the garden ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE ANIMALS love them to bits

I have a American bully too. Hes a classic, I'm pretty sure this one is a standard or a pocket. It very rare to have a tri coloured American bully which this one is. The owners should be proud to have such a beautiful dog.
