You can't say that maybe the owner just had a terrible situation that he can't take care of the puppy so he put the dog out for someone to rescue but no one came. Spread love too much hate in the world. THE puppy is ok let's just wish the owner who abandoned the dog well. The puppy is not aggressive and no wounds of abuse just starving to death because no one came to rescue.

Stray Rescue does work with the police to follow up on abuse or neglect and file charges, but the details of the dogs/evidence can't be publically circulated because it can jeopardize the case. You can go to their KZbin page and website to get some additional info on the dogs, but the sensitive info doesn't get posted.

It was love at first sight for me. She is beautiful. Such a brave and amazing rescue. Thanking God the man reported the dog to the rescuers. The rescuers jumped into action and she was given the care she needed to survive. What darling dog!!! The man, the lady who picked her up and made sure she was treated and the woman who adopted her are all such good people. This was a touching and very happy ending. God bless you all.

As someone who lived in st.louis and volunteers at my local shelter, seeing this, as horrible as it is, is just too common. I'm an Australian also and we have such strick animal abuse laws that while we do have people who do abuse them, the laws come down on them. So glad this sweet girl is now living her best life, so many never get that chance.

The state of Missouri is extremely poor, and has the most puppy mills in the continental US. In STL where Stray Rescue is, backyard breeders are constantly breeding, fighting, and torturing pit bulls. Even if the laws regarding dogs being livestock (and thus treated as property with few protections) were passed, there's no money to hire additional people needed to enforce them.
