Will try to train with my lovely 11 mos old. Hope it’s not too late. Quite the excitable loving pup!

Trying this technique and he definitely understands, but I'm struggling with how to reinforce the positive behaviour - only because if I try to stroke him as a "reward" he immediately tries to bite me. And I can't have treats on me 24/7! Any suggestions? (5 months old brittany)

Good to hear I'm not alone with this. My little guy is 14 weeks old & same thing, with the biting after the correction, and behaviour I want. My fingers are sore from the nipping/biting 😢

dealing with a 3 month old springer spaniel now… just wondering? Did the hand biting after stroking stop? I find I can only give him but scratches as a non food reward, because otherwise he will catch my hand in a bite.

Thank you for this video I got 2 cocker spaniels and one just jumps up at everyone and i tried alot of stuff didn't work

This might be easy because my springer spaniel is a year old and I’ve drilled only those two commands sit and stay I did correct it but it still happens though I guess it’s because I corrected it but not redirected the behavior

Amazing. I've got a lively Sprocker Spaniel and he jumps up all the time. How would I correct his behaviour when jumping up at the kitchen worktop?

Hey Stefan, thanks for watching and reaching out! We have a video looking at the topic of jumping up that should have some helpful tips for your Sprocker: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXLZiKGXeKmGqtE&pbjreload=101

Thanks for the reply! The link you've sent me was to the video I commented on, but I assume the same principles apply. Was just curious how the jumping could be squished without the lead.

Hi there - do you do face to face training sessions in the uk? I am based in cheshire and we have an 11 month old springer spaniel and we desperately need help with biting, jumping up and general lead walking as he pulls so much. Is there any way I can contact you about possible training? Many thanks, Amy

Hi Amy, thanks so much for watching! We are currently only offering online course which can be found on our website. Given the age of your dog it might be worth looking at our Boot Camp course to help with the behaviour problems you are starting to experience with your Springer. You can find more information about our courses on our website: www.fenrirdogtraining.com/courses

Do you have to use a slip lead? I find saying that ah ah sound and telling him to sit works.
