I prefer this to Pure Malt. Based on my complements so do the people I'm around. Pure Havane is my fav of the Angel flankers.

Pure Malt is the best out of the Angel Men flankers imo, but Pure Havana is no slouch either.. they both have a place in my collection Excellent review btw 👍

Good review. My preference is pure havane over pure malt hands down. Malt is very boozy and overwhelming imo. Probably my favorite opening and gets better as it drys down. 10 out of 10 ph

Great review! I've got 2 bottles of this and 1 Pure Malt. At first I liked Pure Havane more but now I'm with you I like Pure Malt better wish I had a back up.

Great review... I remember when i first tried this awhile ago i found it too sweet for me.. I preferred pure malt and the original.. however i tried insurrection wild and really liked it... Ended up getting a bottle for cheap...

Has Pure Havane been reformulated? I sampled it twice this week, two different airports, two different bottles, there’s no cherry at all, no “introduction” to speak off, it’s just some skinscenty smokey mix of tobacco and patchouli for the first few hours and after that it’s just tobacco. Decent longevity but very poor projection. I expected so much of this fragrance but am underwhelmed. I’ve always liked Mugler but this one is not purchase worthy. Thankfully I discovered three other greats; The One Royal Night; The One done right, a much more mature, less fruity, denser, darker, richer The One, a true masterpiece with amazing sillage, MFK Baccarat Rouge 540, no beast by any stretch of imagination but a fantastic scent and Xerjoff Lira, also not a huge projector but a divine vanilla with outstanding longevity.

Wore PH this evening...what a great fragrance. If only it had the milk note and the amped up patchouli of the original A*Men...that would take it from a 8.5 to a 9.5!

Agree with much of what was said about this fragrance. Its my second favorite of the flankers, the original Amen being the best as far as I am concerned...by a stretch..a masterpiece in perfumery. I dont agree that Pure Havane is linear though. Not in the sense that the scent profile doesn't change throughout the life of the fragrance as it certainly does and quite a bit too to my nose. Having said that it tends to change or develop in a very uniform and constant manner...almost seemlessly and almost imperceptively so it may almost seem linear as a result. However what one sprays initially and what one gets at the end are quite different within the gourmand profile. It also vacillates between gourmand and semi/gourmand accords particularly between the heart and base....an intriguing characteristic. For me thats actually one of the great things about this fragrance. A great release from Thierry Mugler.

wow, just viewed and surprise i not the one who smell cheery in pure havane. dont get pachouli that is good for me, i really dont like pachouli note. for me pure havane still more sweet for waring in formal, using for casual in fall and winter is great. the second best a men for me less than pure malt .

Its better than Pure Malt imo, but Malt is more versatile, my personal vaforite is Pure Coffee, can't choose betweeen Havane and Malt, but at the moment I probably love Malt little more because I own creation and have backup creation and and the fact that it is so expensive and hard to find for good price makes ne happy when i look at my shelve:D I also love Tonka and Alien Essence Absolue

Same concept as Basenotes or any product review. Do you see people go on basenotes and say okay that's enough reviews on this scent, let's move on. I never gave my take on this scent either, this is my take on it if people wanted to know what I thought. My take on this is different then most reviews, I talk about certain nuances that have not been spoken in depth about the scent. My age recommendation is different then most. To note PH is not that old, however from your answer you may enjoy other reviewers more that review brand new scents all the time. I worked hard on this review, took so much time to put this together, stayed up late some nights to finish the product to ensure viewers get the best possible review from me and maybe this a legit question however a little deflating to the content creator that worked very hard on a product that people get for free.

Marc besides Steve you're one of the few fragrance reviewers that provides such in-depth reviews. Yes Pure Havanne is an old scent, however to some many regard this as a very good Tobacco scent and always appreciated your comments

Bonifacio Batilongo actually not, there are already reviews of Kryptomint by also good reviewers like Steven or Carlos so in my opinion we don't really need more .. btw can't find any tester in my city of Pure Havane so it's nice to hear something about this one if I'd need to blind buy it ^^
