Would you consider choosing an electric powered pontoon boat over a gas powered pontoon boat if the purchase price was competitive?

I want to get an electric boat! The Salish Sea isn’t always flat calm. I do indeed like your pontoon boat, & I wish you luck with it! I hope to read of your success! A nice day on the east side of Vancouver Island, there will be a Sea breeze, & a bit of chop. I love it here, & I do respect the Sea!

@@MikeH-sg2ue Mike. My home crusing is also the Salish Sea. And yes, it can be a glorious perfect (calm sea) day BUT as you already stated, it can whip up quickly and stay stormy for days, even in summer cruising. As with any boating decision, the use case for a boat and its power options is critical. I hope I can realize a viable electric powered conversion solution for my wooden trawler - in my lifetime. Enjoy the sea today and stay safe!

If I lived on a lake, I would! I live on V.I., loads of Sea, & Ocean!

Agree Mike. Long range ocean cruisers may be the last category to get an epower solution.

Maybe I can get pure watercraft to donate three electric pontoon boats to my new rental fleet in a state park in Pennsylvania

Great idea. Perhaps worth contacting PWC directly to float the idea. The company does state their goal is to make boating more accessible and has plans to provide a pay-per-use model of some sort.
