@chrissiriska8086 Жыл бұрын
You can fix that using this string. It changes the context menu back to Win10. I hate the stupid new right-click. The first thing I did was figure out how to change it. run this string in a command prompt reg add "HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID\{86ca1aa0-34aa-4e8b-a509-50c905bae2a2}\InprocServer32" /f /ve That will fix the context menu. The command is doing the exact some thing as the video, without having to do everything manually. Way faster and easier and far less likely to mess something up. You're welcome😎

Leave it to Microsoft to NOT just make restoration of this older option as simple as a single click of a button somewhere. Windows keeps advancing but never grows.

@@confusediitian600 I'm a coder who uses VSCode, and what I'm saying is that if you could bring the option "Open in VSC" to the first stage, that would solve the problem. For example "Open Terminal here" is in the first stage for folders, as well as "Run in PowerShell" for scripts, which is very convenient. But so far I haven't found a way to add new items to the first stage menu. It seems the functionality is in some Explorer extension, and works by cherrypicking certain items in the registry by their names or keys.

Excellent! Thank you! I have a problem that is really annoying me, so I would appreciate it if someone could help me. On the Start bar it shows me that I have no sound just like you. My motherboard requires the VIA HD audio drivers and I have downloaded the latest 3 versions. And whatever I installed, I still can't get sound or microphone. The same thing happened to me on Windows 10. That's why I now use a USB sound card, but the sound quality is not the same. On Windows 10, I was able to install drivers and get sound before, but after several Windows updates, everything went back to the way it was. I upgraded to Window 11 thinking that the problem would be solved but it was not.

it works for me, though I have to try several times. Thanks very much.
@MarvinJudson2 жыл бұрын
It took me 2 tries but I finally got it to work! The problem was in the instructions it never said that you must type in the word "blank". I assumed it meant just leave the empty bar empty and that would mean blank. So the first try failed because of that. Then I went back through all the steps and this time I typed in the word blank and now the old context menu is back!

From the website: "Double-click the newly created key and set its value to blank to enable the classic context menu on Windows 11." Blank is not empty, blank is a single space. By the way, it also works setting a blank value. Also, you don't need to reboot in order to apply user settings. Signing out and signing back in is enough as well as killing and restarting the explore.exe process.
@Bloopaz3 жыл бұрын
blank can mean empty

You also don't need to sign out and back in. You can just restart explorer via Task Manager.
