And CBS makes this merry band of seven look REAL good, or if you prefer, these seven people are exceptionally good at their jobs and beyond. They're not among the norm either way. But this scene is still as awesome as I first watched it XD

It would have been stupid for the defense not to question hotch so he had no choice. If I was in his shoes I would have asked the exact same questions, he just got unlucky.

Well Hotch got himself removed. The actor, Thomas Gibson, had apparently kicked one of the producers, repeatedly, and as a result of this being the third or fourth instance of getting physical. They had stopped giving him chances and fired him on sight. He was his own death. And he also created issues with the story itself, since they already had pre-written all his lines. And thus now, created issues with the whole cast, and more importantly how they're gonna work out a character who was there for the first two Season 3 episodes.

He’s great with facts and statistics, but early on, he didn’;t understand how to integrate statistical knowledge with the emotional aspect of human nature. Reid may have been the best profiler by the time the show ended, but for the entirety of his time on the show, Hotch was the most effective.

I love the fact he started out his speech with something that could be easily proven. He rolls into other things that could also be proven. Then, as the councilor continues to be an ass, he finishes off by humiliating him. He not only makes his point clearly, but he also gets some satisfaction because Hotch was, once upon a time, a prosecuting attorney. I love the man.
