I watched a u tube quick video. It was a young lady decluttering. It really helped me. She said don’t say do I need this item ( because you will think of a hundred reasons you need it that’s me) say can I live without it! As new snowbird my winter home is just what we need and art of course! It feels so good not dealing with a lot of stuff! When I came home to our home for the summer that is full of Fifty years of stuff! I realized I didn’t miss a lot of stuff! So little by little I am decluttering ! I am 70 it feels good! The graduation celebration party with your family looked like so much fun!!!!! Your outfit was so perfect for the occasion; and, your hair and your makeup was so beautifully done!!! You and Moosie are certainly living a wonderful life!!! That mushroom soup looked so delicious-mushroom soup is definitely one of my favorite soups. I think your approach to purging and reorganizing by doing something small in each room every day is the perfect way to get it done!!! You definitely have collected some beautiful and very unusual mugs!!! I would have a very difficult time parting with most of those beautiful mugs!!! You should reserve some of those mugs and use your creativity to plant a miniature fairy garden in a few of them. I saw some really cute ideas for this on Pinterest that were done in vintage teacups, but I certainly don’t see why mugs wouldn’t work just as well!!! Hey Nanny - great video as usual! I noticed that you had changed out the mantel to the blue and white…it looks very pretty. I loved the family pictures…such beautiful smiles…I think that’s my favorite aspect of your channel…all the pictures and the stories of your get togethers. Was so pleased that you put up a video today. We get into a routine, a rut, thinking we have to do this on this day or time. No, we don't.......getting out of that routine, that rut we are in is good for us. to know that we can do what we want and feeling like doing so. Very proud of you, plus we all enjoy your videos. You are here so many times for "us". sharing your views, giving us suggestion, guiding us. You need that from us at times. You need to talk to us and get our input, our views, just to have someone listen. I felt I needed to response today on the subject of "change". Because of health issues last year, I found I could not sleep in my bed. I was more comfortable sleeping in my recliner. Will that was a year and half ago. I found that too I do not snore as bad, I breath better, my shoulder doesn't hurt or I just do not move and turn all night. I am giving my bedroom set to my daughter for her quest bedroom. I am a crafter, making scrapbook notebooks and photo albums, something I have found that I want to continue through my years to come. So, my bedroom is going to be my craft room/computer room. "change" we grow up with all these things that should be this way, traditions, rules. When you get older as you most of you know, things "have" to change for us to live a more comfortable and happier life. Mindset is the hardest thing of all. We have to be flexible, adjust our lives that fit us. Get out of the routine, the rut, the rules that say we have to do things this way. We can make changes, do things differently for the betterment of us........Nanny, you are changing into a more simpler life and having trouble with it. Can you do that, sure you can, just change the mindset. Instead of being simpler with life, call it a new life style. You can adjust and change. Change my bedroom to a craft room and computer room is exciting. Hiring someone to move things, accepting help on things we should not do anymore. just having a new style. This is my birthday month, I will be 77. It is nice to know that I can change, adjust, make things better for me and how I do things. Let us make changes in life with style, fun, a new adventure. Let us change that mindset that we as seniors have to accept the word "change", let us do it with excitement, style, with a positive outlook. Do it for "us". Let's make these adjustment in our lives with style and grace.
