Anyone can lose weight, even in their 60s and 70s. My mom topped out at 320. She decided she didn't want the weight related health problems her siblings had, so she dropped 55 lbs. at age 64, and then dropped an astonishing *100 lbs* with Weight Watchers. She used determination and faith in God to do it. She wanted to slim down more than she wanted the food. And you don't have to knock yourself out with aerobics or strenuous exercise. My mom did it by walking, usually 3 10-minute sessions in the house or around a big store like Wal-Mart. Let her be your inspiration! She made it a lifestyle, and she's maintained her weight for almost 12 years!

Right now I’m just disgusted and really feel terrible. I’m 71 and weigh 181. I’m 5’5. I want to lose about 25 lbs. .. but right now I feel terrible. I think I’ve gotten myself with low potassium levels and magnesium. I’ve had diarrhea and and a horrible headache. I’m drinking some electrolytes. Anyway, I guess I just needed someone to tell. I live in the country in western Kentucky.. except for church I really don’t see many people. I’m a Christian and I’ve asked the Lord to help me lose weight. I’m going to start walking but I’m too sick right now. You seem like a nice, sensible person that maybe I could get some encouragement from. Right now my husband is worried about me but I’m feeling better with LMNT. Thank you for reading my rambling message 😂 God bless you!

I enjoyed the video with all the information but you offer. I am looking at how to drop some weight at 68 and another friend swears by intermitent fasting too. The cheese twists are such a cute idea too. I want to let you know that NOT ALL packaged cheeses contain "wood pulp", or cellulose as it's called as a food ingredient. I'm happy to share that TILLAMOOK CHEESE which is made here in Oregon, does not contain it! That goes with any of their cheeses making Tillamook cheese would be a good option for us. You can probably get it at your local Costco as it is sold nation wide now. Hope this helps and thanks again! ~Patty~

As an RN/RD, I think you're doing a wonderful job in adapting to new foods and a new way of eating. The only thing I would suggest is to go easy on the red meat. Yes, it's a good source of protein and iron, not to mention it tastes amazing, but studies have linked it to an increased risk of colon cancer. A 4 oz serving every now and then is fine, but leaning into plant based protein, fish, and poultry is a better, healthier option. Tfs your inspirational video! 😊 ❤ Congratulations on your weight loss!! 😊

Congratulations on your weight loss and lowering your A1C! I’ve been on the DASH diet for about 2 years now. I have Afib and hypertension and really have to watch salt intake. When I do use salt, I use the Pink Himalayan. I have to read every label of food I buy. Convenience frozen foods are the worst. Before I retired, I would take Lean Cusine or something frozen to put in microwave for my lunch. I sure wasn’t helping myself. I also eat foods high in protein and we raise our own beef. Unfortunately I’m not a big meat person but I eat it occasionally, but do eat chicken and some fish. I’ve lost 50 pounds but need to lose more. God bless you and Lou on your health journey. So now I have little bread machine that I use. It’s just my husband and I now, and we don’t eat a lot of bread unless my grandchildren come over. So nice you don't have to take meds anymore. I feel I must inform you of the bioengineered enzymes most cheese is made with. Cheese made with animal rennet is the natural one, the one God provided, not vegetable rennet. Please do your own research on the subject, but since you are eating organic & grass fed, I thought you might appreciate the info. I just found out myself and am dissappointed because I enjoy cheese too. Congrats on your new success! ❤

Thanks Janet. I did hear that just recently. I find it hard to find organic cheese from grass fed cows. I wish they’d just leave the food alone. Good grief😖
@janetwhite10777 ай бұрын
Aldi has Carr brand cheese that is suppose to be with animal rennet. I have not tried it yet, but it is on my to do list. I plan to learn how to make my own cheese. Thank you for your videos.❤

Hi there Debra👋🏼. The bread recipe?? Do you have a sourdough starter?
@debracoverston54646 ай бұрын
@@Souperat60 No I do not have. I am not even sure how to make one. But I love sourdough bread! If I have a choice I will choose this bread over any other.
@Souperat606 ай бұрын
Debra, in order to make sourdough bread, you need to have a sourdough starter. I have been promising my subscribers for far too long on how to make one. I will do this very soon. Then you can make sourdough bread all the time. 😀you will love it. It’s a whole lot of fun.

I can’t speak for others, but as for me I was eating too many carbs. Pasta, breads even some veggies like potatoes. Even small amounts add up. I don’t need carbs. They hold no nutritional value. A plate full of salad and a good well sourced protein is what our plates look like now. 😌

@Souperat603 ай бұрын
@@plantlady65 thank you. I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. The sausage was from Aldi (not the greatest quality, but it’s protein.) I have a very difficult time finding organic pork. I have been carnivore since April 12 and the first three months I didn’t have a vegetable salad bread anything at all other than meat I had pork chops hamburger sausage, lots of bacon lots of bacon, grease, and butter. All the inflammation in my body went away within I would say the first two weeks that’s why I went on the diet. I feel amazing but what I wanted to say is for the first three months that I had nothing but beef pork bacon and eggs. Before I started carnivore. I was always constipated. I would go to the bathroom maybe once a week ! I’ve not had any fiber and I go to the bathroom Every other day at least if not every day and I used to not even go but once a week before carnivore, you do not have to have fiber to go to the bathroom if you’re eating other things with carnivore, they may be causing you to be constipated, but if you just eat meat only a true carnivore diet you won’t be constipated, you do not have to eat fiber to go to the bathroom.
