More so the power of selecting on the runs where he survives, rather than any skill. Dream admits he doesn't upload a video if the hunters kill him too early, so there might be a vast archive of unseen manhunts where the hunters or the environment gets the kill on Dream.

2:08 You should've mentioned how in a previous video Dream wiped them all out with a strength pot so their PTSD was a huge factor in this. I also heard (not sure if confirmed or not) that the reason they mistakenly thought Dream was drinking a strength pot was that George was in front of the hunters and he's colourblind so he couldn't tell the colours apart and when he was screaming the others followed him and ran.
