Love your container from Walmart. I’ve never seen that. I used to do morning buckets with my kindergarten students. I would rotate their buckets every week, could be what you could do (or everyday) so the kiddos don’t fight over them.

Wow Mama, this haul was so fun to watch. The tie dye T-shirts is a great idea! I’m trying to think of some fun first day of school activities too. I love suggestion of using the mini craft stocks for tally marks, that is soo smart. I’ve had my eye on “The Ology” book too, would be interested to see how you like it. Pursuing Peace Well there’s no “secret sauce” to putting a morning basket together. 😉 It’s whatever you want it to be. Ours is pretty basic. Bible/devotional, history/science, read aloud book, and some poetry. 💁🏼♀️

Hey friend, I clicked on this as soon as I saw it. New school supplies are so fun. I like the idea of using the mini craft sticks in place of the toothpicks. And I like the idea of each kid having their set of crayons for the school year. That box from Walmart for your kids to pick and activity from for morning time sounds like a really great idea. Felt is also good at cleaning a wipe off board. All you would have to do is buy a felt sheet from Michael’s or Joanns and then cut is up to the size you want.

With the Ikea water colored pencils you can also dip them in water and draw on your skin. It wipes right off with water. We LOVE doing this for an activity, becoming animals, or becoming anything we are learning about.

We do theme weeks, farm, zoo, apples ect they love it . Their under 6 to . Makes learning fun and easier. You set up didn't stations with the theme then a field trip about the subject

I have always wanted to try homeschooling but was afraid I wouldn’t be doing things right. But the last few months that we had to do it ourself... I am less afraid. What a great idea to do a homeschool trunk or treat. I would love to do that in my neighborhood. Also, I noticed Christopher Columbus was on the top of that stack. Kinda disappointing that people are still painting him as the discoverer of America when he so clearly wasn’t. Can you tell us how you plan to explain that in your American history lessons?

Hi Reba! I don't think there's a real difference except I'm using "circle time" as a time for preschoolers where as "morning basket time" is for all the kids. But I think people use it interchangeably. 😊

Did you say unfortunately that Harriet Tubman book was apart of American History?? I’m confused when you said that can you clarify please and thanks

Oh not at all! I said unfortunately slavery is part of our history. It's too bad it's something we have to teach our children, but people like Harriet Tubman bring light to a dark time in our country. ❤ So I'm looking forward to sharing her story with my kids.
