Mine came out with the same front end damage.i was told the land rovers often are damaged that way when following that little rear convoy light!

I don't know so much about this idea.. I started pulling the front and the fender started coming away from the firewall. Nothing dramatic, and maybe that my series 3 109 has a bit more bent aluminium in the front than 110's endure. Same principle : push out, fender pulls in. I think I'm going to remove the front panel and knock out the dents on a table..

All within LR tolerance. That's why holes tend to be slots. Would you use a hot air gun to relieve the stress on the panels?

I do not think a hot air gun will do the job - aluminium is difficult to work with

what about when the wings are pushed in from the top? They get dented and pushed in from the top from being used as a shelf and the like.
