Get ya a K@N filter to. They add 5 to 7 horsepower and can be cleaned. I've had several and they work very well.

That’s a big no for me. The oil you use on those filters cause them to get clogged easily in the heavy dust we get into

@Trail Traveler I run tons of Colorado trails in tons of dust to and the K&N filter works excellent and protects the engine better. You can clean it whenever you like up to 1 million miles. It's a far superior air filter and works great for off-road.

@Trail Traveler K@N sponsors Rock star garage and other off-roaders it's not just for the streets. The special oil on the cotton filter traps more debris from going into engine. It's not very much oil and only on outside. It's a noticeable improvement in hp. 2 years using one in Colorado and moab on some serious dusty trails no issues.

I absolutely do not recommend the K&N! Especially in dusty terrain. On a microscopic level, the filter media is spaced wider than a paper media filter. This increases air flow which in turn adds a tiny bit of HP but the downside is that it also allows small dust and debris particles to go through the filter that would otherwise be trapped. Also, the oil gets covered in the dust quickly and needs to be washed very often. Great for many types of cars but unfortunately not for off road rigs that see a lot of desert and sandy terrain!
