Nope, she didn't. Di Bella's has a fan following and as said in her previous videos, only a very small fraction of those fans must have tried that diamond cappuccino, if any. People mostly go there for the coffee, waffles and shakes. I'm pretty sure once cristine brought attention to it, some people went and tried it but even then, (most) Indians aren't that experimental with their palette nor have that craze to try everything new and unique on the market. Sorry for the long and probably unnecessary comment 😋

The nature of holo is that there is a level of plastic that has been lasered into a diffraction grating making the light refract similarly to real rainbows, so by nature it has to be on plastic as a natural substance won’t survive the lasering, this is also why we can’t have holo makeup unless it’s glitter

The edible glitter and makeup glitter are different from traditional nail glitter because the glitter particles are rounded, unlike the rough nail glitter. The rounded glitters allows the glitter to not irritate or cut your skin (making it safe for makeup and for it to be eaten without causing irritation).

I don’t think so. The channel Royalty Soaps uses biodegradable glitter and Katie has mentioned a few times that the rubbing alcohol can start to dissolve the glitter. I think the water/coffee would have a similar effect but maybe alcohol dissolves it faster.

I've done some work with plastics as a chem e, and to be honest the difference in the glitters really come down to how they are produced rather than what they're made of. Make up glitter plastic cannot be produced with chemicals that would irritate the skin or release possible run offs. Food grade glitter must be made in a clean work area in order to prevent bacteria and the such to reach into the containers. So really, the plastic itself probably isn't that different, it's just the production (as initial plastics), the finishing (into shapes), and production area (food grade etc) that are different from the different types.

I think if you eat it sparingly on cakes it’s not toxic, compared to eating the whole pot of glitter in one go which isn’t recommended as it isn’t technically edible. I use it on my cakes because I have a glitter addiction and nothing awful has ever happened to me or anyone else that’s eating them. This coffee looks like it has a whole pot of glitter on so probably not good for you. Clearly this company don’t give no craps about that

My understanding is that craft and makeup glitter are essentially the same thing (plastic) but makeup glitter is made in facilities with a higher standard of cleanliness, better qualify plastic and is meant to be not necessarily safe but at least not harmful if inhaled/ingested in small amounts accidentally. It's also designed to be more thoroughly rounded to reduce the risk of irritation/scratching the eye... perhaps the glitter the cafes are using is cosmetic glitter?

Cosmetic grade glitters are super rounded so if they were to get into your eyes it wouldn't scratch your cornea, craft glitters have rough edges.

The Disco Dusts (Cake) nails colors are more pure colored and alot bright while the normal holo is a bit darker but has more color into it.

Brought back memories from when I was a kid and we'd drive through Estes Park, Colorado on our way to our cabin every summer. We'd beg our mom for those swizzle sticks! the main thing that differentiates cosmetic glitter is that it's cut into circles, as opposed to octagons or whatever, so it's less likely to cut your eye. and sometimes craft glitters are made of glass.

I've done it! If you mix glitter with an acrylic medium of some sort (like clear gesso, clear painting medium etc) you can create your own holo glitter paint.

I have a glitter emulsion on my bathroom wall, and the way we did that was getting ordinary paint (we used blue) and then got a huge tub of blue glitter - you can use any sort of glitter, any colour - poured it in the paint and mixed it well. It's pretty hard to buy glitter paints normally, but mixing loose glitter in with paint works really really well :D
