I used to run a stock 70cc Honda with sparkplug on pure Diesel for years, when starting cold I had to completely close off carb with my hand, kicking over and flooding it then it would start , had to keep covering carb and revving until warmed up really good then it would run all day

some diesel cars use spark plugs but they're not super good. You would have to choke the carb a lot. You have to get the engine super-hot before it would work right (only because diesel runs on Heat and Compression instead of Compression and Spark). The reason it worked in the video was because the engine got nice and hot. Right as it cools down though, you've got a problem. If you want to attempt this again unhook the spark plug from electricity (not like it'll hurt but to avoid accidental detonation), get heat plugs and attach them to the metal of the engine, near the combustion chamber. Then just heat em up and run it and see how well it works.

It runs better when you mix it with gasoline and remember you still need to mix with premixed two stroke oil because diesel lubrication is just as good as a frying oil. The ratio should be 80% diesel and 20% gasoline. I usually do this when I'm driving my two stroke for a long trip 40-80km of distance. It runs hotter tho but with more kick from the engine

Probably wont run due to needing a higher temp for diesel to ignite, it probably wont rev because when you open the throttle all the extra diesel isn't hot enough to burn so it just floods the engine and pours out as liquid.

E85 is horrible for dirtbikes LOL. BTW with diesel fuel the reason why it atleast idled at the end is because the engine was hot enough for some of diesel to compress enough and ignite partially from the spark plug. Also Diesels don't have spark plugs so whatever you do with the spark plug is pointless.

Diesel does not like to vaporize in a carb, I found about a 25% to 75% ratio is good. Most of the diesel that does not burn will end up in the oil so it looks like the engine is making oil. Kerosene or JetA1 is better than diesel, experiment with that if you can find some.
