We put one in for our Belgium Malinois. We had to upgrade his tether ball to an inflatable buoy anchor for its extra thickness. Even with the regular tether ball anchored in leap height for him, his chompers made quick work of the inflated part 😂🤣😂 He loves the setup. Totally focused on it when the ball is hung for play.

I had to giggle when you said you had everything but the ambition. 😂 You remind me of Mike, he always has some project going at any time, if not 2 or 3. The tetherball is going to make some great memories for you and your family, thanks for the tutorial and sharing it with us. As always Many Blessings to you and yours.

And I always wonder why he says that when he was working so hard to get all that done before the family came plus trying to keep up on products on the store and helping out friends with other projects. In fact when the first of the family arrived at the property, he still needed to put the sand in the horse shoe pits he had just completed. I laughed at the end when Patrick said "I win!" haha

Thank you. Tetherball was always a family fave when the boys were growing. We just did it the old school couple tires stacked full of concrete method. Good way for those with frustration to get it out and amazing coordination skill builder for small ones. (And some boxing head gear)🤣

Mostly the adults played Cornhole. We ended up with three sets since we had one, my son brought one and so did my sister, haha. There were also a few rounds of horse shoes but this time no one played Badminton, that is ok though. There were a lot of things going on and much to keep people busy, The kids had a lot of fun with the Amish wagon Patrick bought, the Tonka trucks in the sand, the swings, and the tetherball. It was great! Now he is talking about putting in a zipline!

Cool video. But I have to say I'm shocked by all these videos with short and thin poles. For little kids, they are great. But for 10+ or teenagers? Maybe not so much fun. My reference for this game are poles around 6 meters high that they had at school. Maybe 6 or 7 of them and in different areas too. The poles were thick, so they would never wobble like the thin ones that I'm seeing on YT. I have to say I'm surprise to see American videos showing short and thin poles. As a matter of fact, I can't find any video showing real poles. And those poles are better, obviously, because the game is more challenging, the ball goes higher and you can use movements from volleyball. There more freedom of movement and you can add more strength. Blocking can be really fun too. A high pole allows a larger spacing between the four players. Well, this sport can be really fun for young and older adults provided they're using the proper equipment. I haven't played it for decades, but I would still have lot's of fun if I played it today. Lot's of good memories with this sport. Btw, this is one of the best poles I've seen on YT, if not the best. It goes higher than most and that's important. I totally understand that your goal was not building something at "pro level" or anything like that.

Here is what I can say: Patrick went by the standards he looked up online and it is meant for our grandchildren and great nephews and nieces, not for pro athletes. I did not even know that something we simply consider here in the states to be a playground game meant for kids was something others played as a professional sport.
@paulolima6407
@paulolima6407 Жыл бұрын
@@RainCountryHomestead Yep, that's why I complimented: I understood what his goal was. Idk if this is played professionally, I just said there are more robust options out there for teenagers and adults and that I'm shocked to see this always being treated as a little kids game when it's much more than that. I can say that back in the 80's (and probably before that) it was already not treated as a little kids game by people familiar with the sport. But prejudice related to little known things is common place in humanity, so I shouldn't be surprised.
