Greetings from the sunshine state 🌞 I really appreciate the fact you are taking time out of your busy day to do these videos, it really help us to get different ideas, but for others to appreciate the hard work and dedication teachers have for their job. Thank you for all you do!!!

May I say something? I would like to give props to your custodian. The custodian is an unsung hero. They are there for the teachers. They help all of you do your job better. ❤️

One year we were back in our rooms (after specials, lunch, and recess) by 11:00. I TOTALLY understand long afternoons. We weren't allowed to take an extra recess.. It was so hard for second graders. That was before we had more than 3 computers in the classroom, so no computer time. Thank goodness it was only one year!

For your cards in the orange/yellow/green/pink containers- get little dots from staples or dollar store and put the matching colour onto the back of the card. The dots will stick on well and come in the colours you want

LOLs- what happens when I pause before I realize you've done the very thing I suggested.

I have a parent volunteer that comes every Monday to file student work and put it in folders to take home. If you have a parent volunteer that’s willing to help, I recommend having them file student work. It’s so nice to have that off my plate. 😜

@puttingthemfirst3 жыл бұрын
His is normally $32/full day but we buy days in large bundles to save and it comes out to $25/day. 😊

Is there a professional read that you have read to help you learn more about the science of reading? Love your ideas!

When I was in college I had to take 2 classes in reading. Then there are several professional development days the schools conduct to teach you the new methods that are popular. They change several times during a career.

I liked this one, but please be warned I’m just weirdly obsessed with the science of reading and it is very dry LOL: www.amazon.com/Phonological-Awareness-Second-Research-Practice/dp/1462532888?pd_rd_w=nHm82&pf_rd_p=ec24c188-b45f-4923-921c-81937c625aeb&pf_rd_r=T9TH7WAJ4CC9HE3RYZXT&pd_rd_r=4a4eb98b-dfb2-4d57-8a32-18150f293dc0&pd_rd_wg=xTEzo&pd_rd_i=1462532888&psc=1&ref_=pd_bap_m_rp_1_sc

How sad is it to have 11 pages for four days of lesson plans. You know what your teaching and having to write in details is redundant . If teachers could spend more time on gathering and Organizing instead of writing in great detail to prove what your teaching. You are obviously well educated I know what you’re talking about. In my 37 years of teaching our lesson plans became longer and longer and more detailed. It’s kind of absurd you’re teaching a student a letter blend why should you have to write all of the educational details instead of listing the activities . Your doing a great job.
