I think there was a turbo graphix 16 turbo duo cd version aka pc engine also but this is another Japanese releases and ports and conversions.

The speech likely took up a nice chunk of the CD space, the size of the space on the CD is only 429 MB, they left a good portion of the remaining space empty.The music in the cutscenes is also streamed from the CD, and not the console, so that took up more space.
