Excellent review. I picked up these a month ago and they are fantastic. I am currently off 11 and the goal is single digits this summer. They feel like butter and like you proved, toe strikes are not seriously impacted. I was contemplating stepping in to a 4-hybrid this spring because I had bad gapping here with previous irons that led to psychologically telling myself I can't hit long irons, but for the first time ever I am actually confident hitting this 4-iron. For anyone on the fence, these are the best irons I have ever had and I am not a PXG fanboy.

PXG make some legit irons, got to hit my buddies gen 5’s yesterday. They were nice and soft and the feedback was nice, the sound coming off the iron was crazy! Barely heard the ball coming off the face! But for my money the Mizuno forged are my fav’s. Maybe one day I dip my toe in the pond of PXG but for now can’t get the forged out of my bag! Good work guys keep it coming!

nice irons and great review....i am torn between the 317T's and the 311 p / xp......I am 58....8 handicap...looking for forgiveness , softness and distance too....which would you think ? have a driver swing speed of around 90-94 mph.......thx....cheers from Canada

The 311p i think will give you the softest feel and most distance. The 317T's will give you a great feel and the more controllability with shaping shots and feedback so it just depends on what your hoping for. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching 🙌🏼

Nice review. I play the T/CB combo set now and love it. Feel, dispersion has been excellent for me. Birdies chirping now how Gen 7 0311 launch early 2024 so this should be interesting. I’d tinker with putting a little extra firepower in my bag for a 5 iron depending on the new launch that’s coming. Reading how new Black Ops Driver is an absolute cannon as well. Great job here.

Hi, could you help me out with a question, please? I´m 45 years and a 23 HC. Currently I play the Hot Metal 919. Due to my slow swing speed (70 mph) it´s hard to get a good landing angle (40 and above). After watching many reviews, the low HC irons perform better than all the game improvement irons. Also, all the new irons, like the 0317T are very forgiving. Even tested with slow swing speeds. So I should look your for these PXG or Mizuno Pro 245? Am I wrong? I´m a little bit confused.

These look great. I’m a long time PXG player but just swapped to Titleist T150s. Hoping I don’t regret not going with 0317 T

Tried these at PXG and loved them. Tried 770, ZX7, Ping i230 at another place and loved the Pings. How do you compare the Pings and PXG T? I have a shallow swing, does the wider Ping sole make a difference?

They are both forgiving and similar technology. They have different looks for sure. I personally think that pxg has better feel than Ping but they are so similar. I don’t think you can go wrong either way. Thanks for watching 🙌🏼

Very nice looking head by PXG . Are similar in size to a newer Taylormade p770 ? Really like the dark finish on those cavity backs too !

Yeah they are very similar top line to the 770's. The extreme Dark look good on anything IMO. Thanks for watching 👍

The feel of KM is better on pure shots but I would say 0317T is more forgiving

317T is 3 x forged vs Gen6 @ 5 x forged. I really don’t like the two piece construction of the Gen6. That plastic looking cap with the tungsten weights is not my favorite look. That cap is also part of the sole design…just not a fan. I may give the 317T a try but I wish they were a little stronger lofted. Good review…with the usual abundance of mishits.

It is close! I think they are softer on misses for sure. But when you Pure it I think the New T's may have the edge. If you get a chance to hit them, let us know what you think 🙌🏼

PXG uses a polymer. Basically an in-between rubber & plastic. TaylorMade used foam to work around PXG's patents. PXG's polymer supports their super thin face so it doesn't cave in. TM uses the foam to dampen sound/reduce clickiness. They call it "speedfoam" because their marketing is stupid.

I am 70 yr old 9.8 index and crazy PXG fan. These irons ar unbelievable. Don’t be scared of blade / player iron They Arne really forgivable soft and long.
