You guys remember when the NKVD focus gave a 30% reinforcement rate instead of the measly 5%? Combined with 30% from MA, 5% radio and 2% from field marshals + base 2% you'd have 69% reinforcement rate, Nice!

30% reinforce rate? why bother with radio or anything else back then?
@robertalaverdov81473 жыл бұрын
@@heiscalledinvinciblenotinv68 Partly for the memes. But this was also a way to essentially Orc your way to victory. At above 50-60% reinforcement rate some ridiculous things start happening. Like 7-8 20 width infantry divisions beating a dozen 40 width tank divisions because they can exhaust their Org faster than those divisions can go into battle. Combined with signals it was near unstoppable. You could literally march from Moscow to Berlin with every battle showing a red bubble but still gain ground.

A base speed above 4 km/h also increases reinforce rate, so motorised and armoured divisions will enter battles quicker on average. It's also worth noting that, in pre-1.11 (that is, pre- No Step Back), divisions reinforce in the order they appear in the queue, unless _all_ the divisions before them are deemed too wide. In 1.11, this is (or, as I'm writing this, is due to be) changed to selecting among all eligible divisions randomly. However, the importance of radio to reinforcement rate can not be understated. The only justifications for missing it are the war being too early or too easy, or having the pre-1.5 NKVD spirit.

How will NSB DLC change division reinforcement?
@randomguy-tg7ok3 жыл бұрын
As I believe I said, the division chosen to have its reinforcement rolled for will be randomly selected each hour, as opposed to being the topmost elegible. At least, that's how I think it's going to work based on what PDX said.

Missed the most important reinforce point - when you are attacking you can just stop and restart your attack and now all your units are in the line instantly, making radio and signals not particularly important on offense. Staff office plan is often a much better way to get planning fast on your offensive divs than investing in signals support.

@megamind42203 жыл бұрын
Oh ok thanks 🙏
@martenkahr33653 жыл бұрын
@@megamind4220 Reliability is a complicated, confusing mess. Land unit reliability does not affect the Attrition X% that you see when hovering over the attrition tooltip of a specific unit. What it does, is determine how much equipment a unit loses at a given Attrition level. For army units and equipment, you want expensive equipment (Tanks, Mechanised, Motorised, Artillery) to have at least 80% reliability on the equipment designs and attach a maintenance company to those divisions to kick them over the 100% threshold; the basic Maintenance company effect on an 80% reliability equipment will be 80%\*1.05=84%, and Maintenance company tech upgrade adds +0.05 to the multiplier. Keep in mind that the Division Designer stats don't accurately adjust reliability effects on equipment in any tooltip, and you need to do all the math outside the game if you're fully min-maxing, but all the stats do actually work right in battle and attrition calculations. If you want to remove Maintenance Companies to make room for some other support company, you should aim for getting exactly 100% reliability on as much land equipment as you can: greater than 100% doesn't provide any additional benefits, while less than 100% causes additional equipment loss any time you lose equipment. If you manage that, then you are guaranteed to have the minimum amount of equipment loss when suffering attrition, though you still need to keep an eye on supply, terrain and weather conditions stacking up attrition modifiers on your units. There is still a minimum amount of attrition even at max reliability, and high attrition percentages are still pretty lethal to equipment stocks even with maxed out reliability. Reliability on Air equipment affects "accident chance". The plane loss to accidents is negligible compared to production for all major powers, with the exception of carrier planes that suffer double the accident rate just for operating off a carrier. As long as you're managing your factory assignment reasonably well, it's pretty safe to just tank reliability on your plane designs in favor of more stats. Reliability on Ships determines the chance of suffering critical hits in battle. Submarines get killed if their stealth fails detected regardless of reliability. As far as other navy units are concerned: the best surface navy is doomstacks of land-based naval bombers. Navy reliability is therefore even more meaningless than Air reliability.

When you start a new line or switch factories you lose production efficiency which then grows a little bit every day until it reaches that maximum.
