I usually don’t gloat when a game sucks. I feel like it’s a shitty deal for everyone involved when a game bombs, gamers and developers alike. All that work for nothing. But I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a little bit cathartic when Volition was being all sassy on Twitter, dismissing everyone as being “haters” while waiting for the proper authorities to make their judgement. And then the critics were like; “yeah, no, we didn’t like it either.” Fucking RIP. We’ve been saying what we wanted for years. Something more like SR2. Never seen a game try so hard to alienate it’s old fan base in favor of a younger demographic that had no interest in it to begin with since Resident Evil tried to be Call of Duty. Fortnite kids are gonna play Fortnite, they don’t care about Saints Row.

Honestly deserved though, kane and lynch 2 is in my opinion pretty good for what it is. It was a bot more artsy than was good for itself but honestly i wouldnt want it any other way. Yes screenshake and effects got in the way all the time, and yes the gunplay was abysmal, but it was playable and the experience it provides is certainly worth playing it, even if fun wasnt nessesarily the first priority. It worked I actually couldnt put it down and i think I even just did the entire thing in one sitting if i remember right

im surprised that in all the videos I've watched where people just shit on Saints row, nobody has talked about how if you go into aim assist settings and turn it all to max, you get Aim hacks. Unironically like all you have to do is go into the middle of a room with enemies, hold down right click, hold down left click, then everyone in there dies, as the game has a setting that makes you auto target to the next enemy that is in your auto aim sights when the guy your aiming at is killed, then if you max the auto aim sights width (which literally says it will target people out of your View) that makes it so you get actual aimhacks, this was the only way to win gunfights on Console highest difficulty as controllers aren't really know for making you very accuracy when shooting.

I honestly feel every worst Ubisoft game had actually a lot of passion put into their projects now after seeing this game, like THIS is actually what having no care in the world for your work looks like. In furnace this game had practically no fucking budget. After THQ went their separate ways and Voiltion got mixed with deep silver and the failure of agents of mayhem the game was given a small budget. This means they had to cut corners like little to no marketing and reuse many things from previous games they also used a bad engine for the game as well which certainly didn't help on the technical side of things. They also signed an exclusivity deal with Epic which was not the smartest decision since despite it being very popular epic games is mainly used for free to play games. So the game lost many pc sales. This and some story and writing decisions resulted in the game being bullied by the Internet for being so fucking bad. Oh yeah did I forget to mention they got staff too moderate the subreddit and discord server which is why they had so much corruption.

I've only heard about this game through this video this morning... Saints Row was definitely a game that shaped a part of my childhood and I'll never forget the first 3 renditions of it. The dildo sword will forever hold a candle to my heart. But this... I can't care anymore to act saddened or frustrated since It's happening so often, as a person I've moved on from video games, especially from this regurgitated nonsense.
