2:36 The Polar Pullover is so valuable because... A) It's a misc hat. Some hats were able to be unboxed unusual at one point, but then had their equip region changed. This means you can wear it with other hats, because it's technically no longer a hat, instead being equipped to a different part of the head in the code. Because you are only supposed to be able to unbox hats as unusuals, you cannot obtain new unusual miscs. Thus, the value of miscs essentially goes only up, because the stock can only go down. B) It is able to be worn by all classes, and it can also be pretty hard to notice, so it can easily be paired with pretty much any unusual hat. C) Burning Flames is one of the most desired unusual effects, if not the most desired. When you think of an unusual, you think of Burning Flames. D) Many people collects miscs and keep them until they die or wait for the price to inflate (haha) then sell for a big profit. Because stock is finite, this means it can be hard to get your hands on one. tl;dr you can wear the hat with other unusuals and good effect mean expensive hat

In my eyes, and obviously keep in mind that I dont know all the details and might be wrong, the situation is probably as follows: Original owner of the dog probably loves the said dog very much, but, as mentioned in the video, for some reason cant take care of it any more. And for this reason is giving it to his friend who can and with whom the dog is familiar and thus it will be less stressful for it. Its obviously sad for the owner, and as well as for his firend probably, and as a way of coping with the situation they memed about it while making an unrelated tf2 item trade. Then it got leaked and internet did its thing. Maybe I am naive, but I want to believe in humanity, and, at least in my head, its the most probable explanation to this whole thing.

The majority dont get their pets from adoption centres and the ones in adoption centres come from pet stores etc. While there are definitely puppy mills who bred dogs in terrible conditions there are also ones that do not. It's absolutely insane to compare selling a dog to a long time/childhood friend once you are no longer able to financially, physically or emotionally care for it to those puppy mills, or to even imply its "unethical".
