you can make one with hairspray or any pressurized container you need one canister for propellant and two for fuel, one canister feeds a "pilot light" (the smaller constant flame at the front of the weapon - effectively its safety), then the can pf propellant should have a mixing feed into the secondary fuel reserve. The propellant will push the fuel out and the pilot light will ignite the mixture as it goes.
@chrisdufresne93592 жыл бұрын
It depends on what the spiders look like. If they look like oversized jumping spiders, I'd try and pet them. If they look like big Widows or Recluses, I'm likely gonna use the Oklahoma legal flamethrower.
@evernewb20732 жыл бұрын
@@henrypaleveda7760 you don't need to do anything fancy like that, almost every aerosolized product is already a flamethrower minus an ignition source, so take anything from febreeze to hairspray to oven cleaner and stick a match or lighter or whathaveyou in the way of the nozzle and you've got an indoors-range flamethrower. ^it's the stuff usually used as propellant that burns, having something highly flammable like hairspray as the product being aerosolized obviously helps but you can have an aerosol can spraying water and it will still go fwoosh when you light it up. on the subject of things that burn: the chemical processes and mechanical systems that crunchy critters use for dealing with breathing (at least the ones here on earth) are both exponentially less effective as the creature's volume goes up and exponentially less capable of bleeding off excess heat, a housecat sized spider would cook it's "lungs" within under a second, there's a reason most tarantulas have such mellow temperaments and the biggest bug in the world is hyperspecialized towards NOT doing much moving. we should probably check in on coconut crabs in a couple million years just to make sure they haven't gotten any funny ideas and maybe check in on the rest of the aquatic arthropods for suspiciously lung-like gills but for once that really _is_ a future people problem.

I have a spider living in my bedroom. There was a different spider there until last year when we got freezing weather. I let them live here because they help me out. The current one lives in my closet, while the previous one live behind my bedroom curtain. No they are not one of the dangerous kinds. Still, I wave at the current one whenever she shows herself. Not that she cares. Still, I would rather them than wasps or other insects I would consider dangerous. There was one time I was on break from work talking to one of my co-workers. I held my hand out palm up, and a red wasp landed on my hand. I looked at the wasp and said "Are you here to hang out, or are you going to continue on your way?" The wasp did a 360 on my hand and then took off. The girl I had been talking with said "If that had been me, I would have freaked out!" My reply was "What makes you think I wasn't!"

The story itself is fine, but the first is not about a Pyrrhic victory - the humans didn't lose. It was a war of attrition. Just sayin. A Pyrrhic victory would have been the aliens defeating humanity then being unable to continue due to their own weakness, or something similar.

@@AgroSquerril Come on, really? Think about how valid that explanation sounds to an English teacher who just called you out for repeating poor grammar... One is correct, the other is pig-ignorant. Why would you promulgate ignorance in language? Note, such language may be used by a character to illustrate their educational deficiencies or limited intelligence, but it must not be used otherwise.
@AgroSquerril3 жыл бұрын
@@andrewstrongman305 Poor grammar is common in these stories and so is me repeating not only poor grammar but spelling mistakes as well. If I have heard enough people say something a certain way , like for instance a lot of things Americans say. Then I don't register there is a problem as I assume is a localization of the language or just a mistake which happens.
