First time I watched your channel, loved it. I feel like you two took the best of your very conservative upbringing and then added a little moderation and personal belief to it. You guys are doing so great! I think growing up so sheltered and or in a family without a lot of healthy boundaries, I was raised that way also but in a different way, in a very neglectful and chaotic dysfunctional household not knowing what a healthy boundary was for a really long time. I was able to be manipulated pretty easily from people inside of my Nuclear family or in laws or friends with guilt and not being a "nice and good" person, if I went against or stood up to injustice inside of my own nuclear family, when I did stand up for my own self or my husband or kids people tried to use the manipulative attitudes accusing me of not being nice or Loving. I too have been in therapy for a few years now and it's helped me become healthier and just more confident in myself and learning how to strike a balance and live with a sense of Healthy boundaries and self care. I've never felt closer to my husband and kiddo's until I began receiving this kind of corrective counseling. Even with my faith I was a super t teetotaler and I felt I obeyed certain rules out of a sense of fear and guilt instead of doing what made sense and felt right for me, between myself and God we are figuring it out Lovingly and gently because I really feel that's How God rolls. Thank Goodness.

Best advice I can give you. Live you life for yourselves and not for others. I love how you both are sensitive to others, Just shows you both have golden hearts. However God would want you both to live by YOUR beliefs and for you both to value that. Regardless what others may think. Everybody interprets the bibles teachings differently... thats what makes it dangerous. Just find the faith within yourselves. All God wants is Love.

That is great posting this! I have 5 homeschooled kiddos aged 10 down to 2. I’m starting midwifery school next year, I’m excited but nervous to balance it all as I’m extremely busy with life but hopefully it’ll work out. I want a small practice like 6 clients a year. I’ve been attending births since 2012 and love it! Also I would definitely check out the documentary Agenda and Agenda 2 : Masters of deceit. They are VERY informative. The biggest problem I have with public school is the left and their agenda they are pushing on our children. The documentary explains the Karl Marxism agenda and that’s basically whats being pushed in America, communist. They are reaching the schools, our young children, first and foremost. They are taking the task of our job in teaching our children “their moral values”. I’m not sure the area you’re are in but I know some places push their agenda so far they are teaching kids their beliefs which are so far from Christianity. Prayer is great but I couldn’t imagine sending my children to public school, ever in this day and age especially after watching those documentaries. :-( also check out the naked communist goals, there are 45 of them you can read through and how much they have infiltrated our nation!!(these goals are related to Karl Marx)

There is a great need for parents with children removed by child welfare to receive Quality lawyers. I work as a case manager in child welfare and God has burdened my heart about this. I see so many cases where biological families are suffering long term separation and trauma due to the lack of adequate counsel. So many of these families are low-income and cannot afford an attorney and therefore given court appointed attorneys that are doing pro-Bono rotations with the judicial circuit and and do Not invest in these families or cases. I have seen these families meet their attorney (appointed 2 months prior) for the first time 10 minutes prior to the hearing. There is a great need for public service law in many areas but in child welfare- these families need someone that can fight a system they do not understand. For example, in Ga when a child is removed from a home they must be given a hearing within 72hrs. I have seen these 72hr hearings not happen until 3-4 weeks later. These families, educationally limited, financially limited, and under represented have no idea that their rights are being infringed upon and no guidance in how to fight an often corrupt system.

I'm not going to go on and on about whether drinking alcohol is right or wrong, but I just wanted to add a little food for thought. So you drink alcohol - that's your choice to make. And if you're able to have one drink and stop at that, then good on you. However, you have to be so careful when little eyes are watching you in your home. If they grow up thinking it's okay because their parents drank, then they will likely try it too. You may be able to stop at one drink, but can you guarantee your children will be able to as well? I've listened to several testimonies from alcoholics throughout the years, and a common statement that is made among them is "If only I'd never had that first drink". Addiction is a powerful force, and this one can be easily avoided, because it isn't necessary. Please stop justifying your actions, as they are lies you tell yourselves to make you feel better about doing it. I'd hate for you guys to be kicking yourselves down the road for this particular choice you're making now. Is having the occasional drink worth the risk? Just something every responsible parent should ask themselves. I pray you reconsider this action. I'm coming from a place of care and concern, not criticism. God bless you two and those sweet boys :)

I strongly disagree with you! Having a glass of wine is a pleasurable, social activity. I grew up in French Canada and having a glass of wine at the dinner table on weekend is normal. Learning to drink responsibly is important. Many young people get in trouble because they can only drink when no adult are around. Your child needs to hear you say: "no thank you I've had enough" or I'm not drinking tonight , I'm driving. I have a 23 year old son now and he has showed great restraint in regards to when and how much he consumes. If he choose to take the car, he doesn't drink. If he want to have a few drink, he take a UBER. Having dessert everyday in excess can also lead to many illnesses. Are you going to keep all sweet away so your kid won't become diabetic or are you teaching them moderation and self control?

God turned water into wine for a wedding that went on for several days. It was the very first miracle he performed. Was turning water into wine. It’s totally fine for having some drinks. And it’s not like a child will grow up and be like “ I saw my mom drink a glass of wine now I want to be a raging alcoholic.” They pointed out the fact they never get drunk but still enjoy a drink. They follow the Bible and their kids have amazing parents who will grow up just fine. You may parent your own children but don’t be passive aggressive to someone else’s children simply because you don’t agree with something. God bless you :)

I was watching another video one day and had a hard time paying attention to what she was saying because of how much she says “yeah” and “like.” I saw another comment once that someone mentioned she seems to say “like” more when she is nervous or on a tough topic. It is distracting.

Well, for your child’s sake then, I hope they are cis and straight, otherwise it’s sad to know their own parent will disapprove. That has caused so many suicides or just miserable people living lonely lives afraid to be themselves. School doesn’t cause that. And a boy wearing a dress isn’t homosexual or wrong. It’s learning what he likes/dislikes, if he even wants to try that at all. But again, that doesn’t come from school. The only thing from school you would seem to be against is them teaching your child it’s ok to be themselves. Jesus never taught to hide who you are. Jesus taught to love. Unconditionally. I hope you can find it in your heart to be kinder and less judgmental to things you simply don’t understand. Well wishes my friend.

Everyone has their own convictions and we have to reminded of Romans 14:1-23. They might not find the office convicting, I watch some shows that another may find convicting that I don’t and vice versa.

Convictions are things that are lawful so not everyone is constrained by scripture to comply. However laughing at coarse jokes are not something that is lawful for Christ followers. We are not to use our liberty as a license to sin, it is shameful to use scripture to excuse things that are clearly called sin in scripture.
