I can't imagine speaking my truth and being met with what Jill is. I give her props for being so strong and brave. I do question the LGBTQIA stuff but I also know people that grew up in pretty conservative Christian households who believed everything they were taught about the LGBTQIA community etc and they're still learning, growing and changing and breaking away from that. When your raised in a religion that ingraines so much hate and it's enforced by everyone around you, it is hard to break away from. Some people are fortunate and do and some never do. I'll hold judgment and keep hoping for the best for Jill and her family in regards to the way she is being treated for being honest and open. All of this confirms my reasons for completely disengaging from most Dugger related stuff around Josh... I knew at least one of the girls was being forced in front of the media. You are incorrect, big Mac. Even on the insert paperwork on birth control pills it warns that that kind of birth control is abortifacient. This means that this birth control can cause a fertilized egg to not implant. This is called an abortion. Just because it’s not done at Planned Parenthood at six months gestation doesn’t make it any more an abortion, it’s just a spontaneous one. So yes, they do cause abortions. The most egregious one is an IUD. The idea behind an IUD is to cause the uterus to be a hostile environment, whereby a fertilized egg cannot implant, and it is shed. So a woman could literally be expelling her baby and it’s most infantile stage into the toilet every month.

Just a question for potential future videos: How do you cope with the trolling and negative comments, now that you're essentially an internet persona, due to your famous family? Sometimes when I see the things people say or ask you, I get mad FOR you. I couldn't imagine facing the unnecessary scrutiny you face. You're so strong. 💜

My only issue with this video is that birth control doesn't "accidently" cause abortions. The term would be miscarriage and I don't believe birth control directly causes that if it does it's got to be extremely rare. I've been on hormonal birth control for 5 years with no issues, but I can't speak about anyone else's experience. Other than that good for Jill and Derek! She's definitely my favorite one in the direct family now because she's expanding her mind and being her own person.

Birth control does not cause miscarriages... they don’t work that way. What birth control does is that it makes the cervix develop a thick mucus lining to prevent sperm from entering uterus. A birth control pill is completely different from an abortion pill which causes cramping and bleeding to empty uterus. There are suggested links but not necessarily true and with a simple research can help educate people about it... but I am also very glad Jill and Derek are doing well :)

I loved yalls stance on LGBT and friendships with disagreements! I'm LGBT myself and it annoys me when people on either side like you said want to preach at you or belittle you or try over and over to force you to agree when you simply don't see eye to eye. It sometimes feels more like the person is building themselves up instead of having genuine conversation. I love talking to people with all different perspectives so I can learn and grow when we have a genuine connection! And I've always thought if someone is strong in their faith they wouldn't have to try to convince everyone around them all the time in order to even hang out. Anyway its REALLY encouraging to see people who think like you guys do knowing how and caring enough to be respectful and pointing out that either side of any issue can have a tendancy to get heated and there's no need for that. I asked my brother over the holidays if he could simply refrain from talking to me about his opinions about my lifestyle and religion for the couple days I was visiting as well as use my new name that I've changed years ago (I said he could use whatever pronouns) and it was really confusing to me that he said I was being unreasonable and acted like I was asking him not to share his faith in God...which I wasn't I'm very interested in Jesus and learning from people's faith but in the end he said as a Christian he couldn't do that and it was very disheartening since the reason I asked him is it's connected to some traumas for me and I'd rather focus on healing his and my relationship then talking about that but anyway it's lovely to see people with his similar beliefs who think it's totally reasonable to have respectful and kind conversations. :)

My own cousin Fred told me when he had a heart attack he had seen Hell and Heaven. So try not to hate your brother he cares about you. You both talked about the LGBTQ+ community in a pretty respectful way, and I respect that. It sounds genuine when you speak about us like that. I also want to add that as a former Christian (charismatic), I don’t believe that the Bible fully explains the modern applications of the verses that are “against” the identities of LGBTQ folks. it’s not as much about “disagreeing” with a person’s “lifestyle”, as it is about honoring who they are as a person- if you believe that God doesn’t make mistakes, that he made us in his image, and (especially) if you follow Calvinistic beliefs and everything is preordained, then your beliefs would actually support the development of different, non-heteronormative and non-cisgendered identities. There are plenty of other cultures that have more than two genders and sexualities. Letting a person know that you disagree with a part of them, presumably a large part of their lives because it is something that directly affects their relationships and families, can put a huge rift in between you and the friend who is LGTBQ. Of course, it varies from person to person. I’m not suggesting that you abandon your beliefs, I’m only suggesting that acceptance is the most Jesus-like action one could take. Agreement and acceptance are two different things for this. I think it would mean a lot for a person to know that you accept them for who they say they are, and it would likely bring you closer. Again, I respect how gently you’re going about this!
@foolcatcher89004 жыл бұрын
I have a couple things in response to that. 1. There is no such thing as a former Christian. You’re either sealed by the Holy Spirit or you are not. 2. The Bible and its word are the same yesterday, today, and forever. There is no modern, or traditional, or ancient version. It is all applicable at every point in history, and for every person regardless of time. It doesn’t have a modern take. What God has said applies to every generation. 3. Who you are is a person created in the image of God. Your sexual desires are not who you are. You completely misunderstand the idea that God does not make mistakes. He made you to worship and surrender to him. If you have chosen not to do that, it is YOU who has made the mistake, not God. 4. No, there are not other countries who have more than two genders. There is only male and female. Anything other than that is a deviation from nature and from God‘s plan. 5. No, excepting sin is not the most Christlike thing one can do. The most Christlike thing one can do is to tell them about repentance, the gospel, forgiveness, and how they can be changed from the inside out. We are not to except people based on who they SAY they are. A person can SAY they’re a turnip. We are to except them as creations of the creator. And that is completely different than excepting their sin, which we are not to do.
