Malamute. It's the breed that closest to being a wolf. You can put a pack on it and let it carry your equipment. 10-12 years. 100 lbs. Easily get one for under a $1000. Some will be higher. Dobermans and German Shepherds tend to have hip problems. No matter what, a .44 magnum has the meanest bark and bite.

If you looking for guard dog to train, no grooming, Doberman or Rottweiler the best. Cane Corso’s slobbers unbelievably.
