Folks, many are complaining about the price of this aircraft. Let me just say this in defense, this aircraft is a very complex and accurate simulation of the real Boeing 737-200. Today I had some time to go through an engine fire procedure and the realism is done to the book. There is a lot more than what meets the eye, especially in the sounds department. You can even hear passengers fastening their seat belts when the cockpit door is open. The lighting angels are done to match exactly the real aircraft. I am not just saying this, this aircraft is really study level simulation. Personally, I highly recommend it and I think it is well worth the price.

I find it a worrying trend these developers charge far more for their airplanes than what Xplane itself in its entirety costs . Some stuff in store is also nowhere near quality of some freeware contributions ( or they ask $30 for something which is basically available as a freeware plugin ) . As long as folks fork over the cash that is asked those prices will only go up ( that isn't an Xplane specific thing but true for all games ) .

I bought this addon and the price seems to be right... the amount of work that has to be put to end up with a product like this one is humongous, i must say that mostly all of the freeware you can find are simply junk, and there are other developers that charge for products that i believe they are ripping people off, i am very pleased to fly this bird and i felt that i paid good money for it. cant wait for the FlightFactor a320 and they can charge a lot of money and i be willing to pay for it because it is hard work and this is a small niche

Rik, you cannot compare an aircraft addon with the flight sim itself. The volume of customers that buy X-Plane is way more than the select few customers (by comparison) that will be interested in purchasing the FlyJSim 737. Thus X-Plane can be sold much less with still a big profit. Always a complex study level aircraft will cost way more than the sim. That's normal.

that's another thing the term "study level" for me is by now not indicative of quality at all anymore . EVERY developer out there uses that term now ( even when the plane isn't study level at all) . It's a highly inflated term . Don't get me wrong : by looks of it this is a fantastic plane ...I'm just indicating that most folks can't simply buy everything out there and if they have to choose between this and the FF A320U the odds are in the latter's favor . Let's assume - for the sake of the argument I'm trying to make - that you can only spend your $$ for ONE expensive airplane in the upcoming months ? The argument : "only few will buy this plane so the price will be high to get profit " is also not valid . They might sell more copies if the price was lower ,increasing their profit-margin . If anything , comments on this - by the way , excellent - video are indicating that folks are skipping this one because of the price point not because of the quality ....and that's because most people don't have an infinite supply of $$ :)

Howdy...first of all, I am a former Boeing Flight Training Instructor assigned to the 747-400 teaching mainly Saudi Arabian and Atlas Air Cargo crews. I agree 100% regarding the price. FJS has done a phenomenal job with this aircraft and Jeff explains things very well. It was this video that got me interested in this aircraft. I find that I fly it almost exclusive to everything else. The little touches here and there along with a terrific flight model make flying this aircraft a real joy. It has inspired me to get my own channel going with X-Plane FJS 737 videos as well as some 747-400 full flight simulator videos. I look forward to future releases from FlyJSim.

I absolutely adore the sounds. When you turn on the fasten seat belt sign, you can hear the passengers fastening their belts (when the cockpit door is open). Wonderful work really.

Nice review of one of xplanes best aircraft. Amazing sounds prob the best of any aircraft in any sim out of box. Full maintenance system, flies beautifully and all the systems are accurately modelled. There are numerous planes with FAR less accurate models, systems and aero handling for near the same price. Super impressed again and cant wait for the 727 update. Nice to see the xplane fmc added it only does about the same job as Civa so no need to add the high maintenance INS. Straight to the favorite list...

Unbiased? He was provided a with preview copy from the developer. There is simply no way the review could be unbiased. I'm not a "hater" or being pessimistic or the like - just stating simple, objective fact. I enjoy your reviews Q8Pilot - very professional and always well done, but I have to throw the flag when someone claims "unbiased' if you in fact did receive the product without cost. I am a V2 owner of this aircraft as well as the FJS 727 (love the 727) but I'm still having difficulty deciding whether to buy this upgrade, even at the 50% discount.

I know I might be late but In SFO, You don't takeoff runway 10L/10R. Only on very rare cases. You usually are supposed to use 01R/01L or 28L/28R but for the sake of this vid, it's cool :)

these pinheads knocking a developer like flyjsim on a $60 price kill me. this kind of a project is a labor, and i'm guessing flyjsim isn't getting rich. i certainly hope they are able to make a living at it so they can do more projects. i bought this plane for x-plane 10, and flew it almost exclusively because it nails my every itch, being a small, steam gauge airliner. just perfect. i figure it cost me about $0.40 an hour for the entertainment. happy to put some more money in their pocket for the x-plane 11 upgrade that i'll probably end up paying another $0.40 an hour to enjoy or less over the lifetime of using it in x-plane 11. i don't think people have any idea the dedication and painstaking attention to detail it takes to build something like this.

Usually when I go into replay mode it freezes and you have to wait 30secs or so and it won’t crash, it may freeze again shortly after that, but it will come back, hope this helps with the game crashing during replays

You don't have to use better pushback plug-in through Xp menu anymore. Just use the button to call crew, it's mapped with better pushback

Very good video. I just bought this and haven't tried flying VOR to VOR yet. I was just trying to get a feel for it. I don't know why, but it seems too light on the controls for a heavy aircraft. I may have something that is not set right, but the feel of the IXEG 737 seems right to me, so I don't know. I’m going to reply to your post regarding the pricing. The price is similar to fsx version of PMDG 737 ngx, now I have people who have tested the PMDG product with the level D simulator and the numbers match flight dynamics wise, that’s expected from PMDG. The comparison exists since the pricing is similar. Personally I don’t have any issues paying for the product but for me the flight dynamics of the aircraft should be spot on. This July I’ll pay a visit to the delta flight museum 737 200 level D sim myself. Now I’m not being funny but for the price and considering the professional title this better match the numbers of the level D simulator. When I say numbers I mean the pitch and roll rate, the g load, the flight performance and its variations depending on weights, wind and drag. Now tell me do you guarantee it’s an accurate rendition of the aircraft in terms of flight dynamics at least. If required I’ll get their engineers to test the product at the end of the day I’ll make sure that the review and report is accurate. For any flight sim developer be it x plane / p3d/ fsx it’s mandatory to get the above mentioned stuff right, there is absolutely no excuse for not accomplishing that. Now one company ranks no.1 when it come to charging excessively and not rendering the Flight dynamics properly, yeah none other than flight factor their 757 v1 was just garbage and this is coming form a 757 captain himself. I really hope that’s not the case with flyjsim. I like the guy but as I said there is no excuse to not develop the flight dynamics properly. When charging this much it’s understood that you ll at least get that right even if that means coding outside x plane, NASAs LaRc sim engine is the perfect example so since it’s possible I refuse to believe in cannot be done policy, remember no excuse once you label it professional.

Hello Osamah ...... thank you once again for a very good video! I think, you are on of the best or maybe THE BEST producer of videos for X-Plane here at youtube. I have a remark for the CIVA. On the website of FlyJSim I can read "The FlyJSim 732 TwinJet comes packaged with easy-to-use checklists and the X-Plane 11 FMC to accurately fly full RNAV procedures with ease." So CIVA is not really necessary? I do not worry to make a VOR to VOR navigation - that's easy. But sometimes I want to relax a bit .... Thank you for your answer!

Thank you for your kind words! You are correct the CIVA is not required. If you want to fly this classical plane as pilots did when it first came out, then the CIVA is the way to go. Most available models of this plane today have re-fitted FMC so you are good to go with the default XP11 FMC.

Great video as always, and I’d like to say also about the price, it is well worth it as I see it as an almost “study” level aircraft. I have seen people live stream this plane and have trouble keeping up with its systems. Where as they can fly the PMDG 737 almost without thinking. I have both the FlyJSim 732 and the 738 in P3D, and I find myself flying the FlyJSim 737 99% of the time.

I've gone back & watched whole video again and I see what you mean about sounds,switches etc the only comment I would add is you mentioned the panel didn't look as good as it did in previous versions. FYI you did adjust altitude on the overhead panel so I thought that would transfer below? Thx again for a superb review & you made AC critics of us,as in if you don't like an AC I'm noy buying :) The first AC I bought from your recommendation was the Cherokee Piper 140.

q8.. what up man... the fly j sim 732 and 727 are in the elite category of x plane payware aircraft.. i have all the FF planes and rotatemd80 the ixeg...tbm etc etc.. the 732 has by far been the most challenging .. the problem im having is unlike the 727. there is no vert speed pitch adjustment.. after watching your vid... im seeing i need to set my speed on the speedometer and then adjust my throttle manually and the plane will then adjust pitch accordingly or am i missing something else...? its a challenge but like you said bro thats what makes it fun. plus the civa makes it an even better experience. holla bacc at me if you can thx and i appreciate your vids

PBR. It's called physically based rendering that makes the aircraft reflect what's actually around it.

Pbr stands for "physically based rendering" which as the names implies means making the materials in the sim respond to light in a physically correct fashion by using physics formulas. It accounts for the conservation of energy, the fresnel effect, roughness, metallness etc

Wow! Amazing review! I wouldn’t change anything about this review! Great Job! Now for my opinion, the plane is too expensive. Updates should be free, and the FF757/767 are way more complex (the most complex!) and cost less? I can buy the FF767 for 20 bucks less and buy some cool scenery! Too pricey in my opinion.

I'm stricken by both sides. It IS a lot of money for one aircraft. But there are several free ones that are quite good. What pilots are paying for is the niche level of detail that will appeal to a small percentage of people, getting as close to reality as possible from the desktop. I bought and love the FF767, and just fly it all the time. Imagine the market was flooded by a tonne of arcade level aircraft paid aircraft and freeware. Imagine then the hours that you 'invest' in the hobby. For serious armchair pilots, you'll probably put in hundreds of hours a year. So for me the reality is EVERYTHING. I'll quickly regret flying only stock aircraft (although they're not all bad!). Will I worry about nearly $100 hundreds of hours later? Probably not. If reducing the price would attract a lot more people then it would make good business sense. However I believe study-level aircraft are potentially frustrating to beginners, and if they marketed at say $10, they'd probably end up flooded with negative feeling and frustration from those who just don't dedicate the time and effort to learning the aircraft and systems. So on that basis IMO the price is justified.

I agree with other in comments : problem with this airplane is its price ( as with many other planes in xplane store ) . There's a few other big ones forthcoming - especially the FF A320 U - and if folks are scrapped for cash and can only buy ONE airplane it's very likely to be the FF A320U . We already know that will be very expensive as well .

Using an FMS in a 737-200 is anything but unrealistic. Most, if not all 737-200's still flying are retrofitted with FMS's, WXR, TCAS, and ADS-B.

Back in the days when it was first introduced, no, the FMS was not an option. This is exactly what I say. If you want to experience the aircraft exactly how it came out of the factory, then it is FMS less =) Thanks for watching!

Nice aircraft but to me a waste of money. The Zibo 737-900U is almost identical with the overhead panel, the throttle quadrant, panel, etc. and it's free, but you can make a donation. It's almost as if the Zibo is a copy of this aircraft.
