Glad you enjoy my work :) I believe that they used the lower cabin because it's wider and these seats are very wide. These would be 50-100% wider than the Emirates first suites (for comparison's sake).

Considering the plane interior at the time of filming was 7 years old, it looked outdated and very tired. The bathroom looks tiny compared to that on other carriers planes.

An interesting video Paul. It's a real pity that Qantas don't seem to be upgrading their first class product with the A380's midlife facelift. Sure, they're changing the bedding and the TV screen, but otherwise it'll be uncompetitive. Unless they're going to put more effort into the food and drink?

One of the best airline class reviews on the interweb. Understated humour, good camera work, excellent combination of subtitles and commentary. This review cleverly manages to give equal weight to the fun of flying first class, objective commentary of the experience, and detailed information of all the 'bells and whistles' contained in a first class suit. 9/10. Would have given a perfect 10, except that the subtitles needed a stronger background contrast, and I would have liked to hear louder audio from the hostesses describing the food/wine they were serving.

Great report and good chance to catch it via DXB before they switch it over to SIN. Though in my heart I always love Qantas SIN-LHR. Nice to see you a bit more in this one also. Really nice to see they put the extra effort in at Sydney airport for the meeting upon arrival and bags being taken away. 5 hours early for the lounge, awesome. I will be back in Australia in Jan 2019, tens years after I left, when I left then I flew Qantas home in Economy, this time it will be very different. Were they really playing Justin Bieber when you were having your pre departure drink ? The seat control remote is a real weapon, that thing is heavy. Good to see you enjoyed the wines, Really enjoyed watching this one.

Paul Stewart Paul Stewart examples: from start until second 0.05 and minute 2.31 and 2.58 when the A380 is parking at the gate, lots of background noise prevent your voice from coming out clear IMO.

What an amazing First Class service Qantas provides! The Qantas Lounge (one of the best in the world you mention) looks amazing and we particular paid attention to the lovely views of the apron, we would definitely want to spend a few hours there! Thanks for the reply Paul. May I ask your opinion on the A380? I have flown on the A380 a couple of times and found it to be a tad too quiet. I could hear a lot of chatter from many rows down. I really enjoy the white noise of the engine. Would appreciate your thoughts on this matter.

No worries. You're right that the A380 has less engine and wind noise so that you can hear noise from the other pax and flight attendants.

From what I've heard, Qantas were going to charge a premium on the 787 flight as it's non-stop from Australia.

Qantas A380 First Class for a fully paying passenger does not compare to that of Singapore or other Middle Eastern Airlines. It is nothing more than Business Class with a a whopping price tag. ....it simply does not compare......

@kenjryker indeed I have on several occasions and more recently experienced the new refurbished Singapore A380 First Class which is far superior to that of Qantas in layout, privacy, cabin service and comfort. I hope you might get the opportunity to experience it.

@kenjryker I am not a fan of "bling" myself. If I am paying for "First Class" there is nothing at this time that compares to the updated Singapore A380, it is truly First Class as you might have ever imagined.
