I have a tip for anyone wanting to do this 😁 I have made stars for many Christmas trees and different sewing projects. To make this so much easier, if you go to any craft store and get different sizes of stars. -- I don't have a way to print anything at home soooo 😊-- You can just take your scraps of fabric and sew them to your batting however you want want. When you are done sewing your fabric scraps to both your front and back of your star pieces. Place your pieces right sides together and trace one of your wooden star templates on the batting side and simply cut out. Hope this helps. I bought different sizes of stars at Jo-Ann Fabrics, Walmart, and Dollar Tree. My stars range from just a few inches to over a foot. So you have options. You can also use these as templates for many quilt projects or big stitch quilting which is also fun for Patriotic projects. And....they have different kinds of wooden things at the Dollar Tree and craft stores. I bought a wooden Turkey and acorn for placements. And a ghost for maybe a table runner. You can also use these for quilt applique products like the stars. The possibilities are endless. Happy quilting 😊.

Wow! Perfect idea for our little Christmas tree 🎄. Always decorated it, but just never anything on the top. But this is perfect. I'm gonna make one, or even a few different ones. Thanks

Maybe add a drop of glue inside around the wood dowel..keep it from pointing out the top..as it will be handle often.
