It's Spring 2323 , I'm back in Stirling , in the Adelaide Hills. It's a chilly , cloudy day day , but the trains are running , so I'm out to catch a few! This Melbourne bound , Pacific National intermodal service, makes easy work of the 2,2% grade, with a quartette of GE units on the point. With 16,000 HP on offer, the 4 NR's almost coast through the platform and roll past the camera , as round the curve and start their downhill trip towards Victoria,

I am amazed how fast this train was going up the hill and down. The horn at the beginning of the video sounded very odd. Great video, starting to cool down here in Nebraska. Cheers from Terry in Nebraska, hope you are doing well Gregg.

Yes it was Terry! 4 units on a eastbound is a bit unusual , but they make good time! The horns on the NR's are a bit wierd, as are a lot of horns down here, we must have deaf guys picking the notes..LOL Thanks for watching. Gregg.

Thanks Michale! All very slowly I'm afraid;_(. Hoping to get some earthworks done this year.........no one want;s to do anything and if they do , the price is ridiculous? Starting to get a bit nancy now , So I'll be pushing a bit harder in the new year! Gregg 🙂

Good 👍 video I have a question are all the three rail lines in use? Only ever seen one line in used?

Thank you! The middle road is used for MOW equipment and or broken rolling stock. The closest line , the passing loop, is not used much now, as trains have gotten a lot longer since it was installed! A longer passing loop was installed about 10km done the hill , so that is used for passing trains now. Cheers Gregg.
