I've got a Quadlock mounted to the accessory bar. Right now I have it plugged into the USB port by the TFT display but I have a dual USB head to install under the seat. Plan on running it off an AMPLINK.

Steve please let your customers know that the ram mount while very secure is very secure for holding your phone. I bought one for my bike and had a iPhone 10 at the time. This year upgraded to the 12 and because of the camera setup the phone will not lay flat enough to make contact with the charger. I’ve tried several different cases and even removed the case and the issue is still the same. I recently changed to the quad lock system for that reason. Other than that the ram charger I’d fantastic and highly recommend. Hope this helps and great channel.

That’s great if you want to spend £230+ on parts then + fitting just to charge an accessory. I am sure it does a great job though, we all spend so much on our bikes and only have them for 3 or so years. Makes you question why as many end up leaving them on the bike when trading in.

Great Video, I have and prefer the Quadlock as it has the optional anti vibration unit, that is a must as the vibration from the bike will create issue for smart phone cameras.

Hi Emma, there's a repetitive piece of detail i've noted on the damaged lens in the camera due to vibration and that it's only happening when mounted to the mirror mount and even when the damper is being used. The ram provides a bit of play in general due to the material used to create the ram balls. Firm but not rock solid. Mounting on the handle bar which is more closely connected to the fork i think is a better option with either product.

If you keep your keyless ride fob in a tank bag near to the quadlock wireless charger you can get error messages on the bike looking for the key. There seems to be some interference which blocks the keys signal getting to the bike while the quadlock is powered up. Popping the key in your chest pocket so the quadlock isn’t so close to the key resolves the problem.

They probably do it via a slight drop in voltage. Battery is 12+ volts when the bike is off... but when running... more like 13-14 volts because the bike is charging it.

Great Vid . I already use the Optimate charger and the Quadlock wireless charger on two of my bikes. As well as some RAM mounts. Quadlock make a Ram ball adapter. BTW there IS an ON/OFF button on the back of the Quadlock ... behind where the light is. Also could you not just plug the Quadlock into the Denali Cansmart USB socket? And Vica Versa for the Denali wireless charger into the Optimate. More than one way to skin a cat!! lol

You’re in Uk quoting the price you’re seeing with Uk vat included. Other countries will see ex vat prices hence i blank the prices out. I’m displaying RRP prices for this charger. It’s for those who want the fastest wireless charging cradles for their bikes but also hardwired in. By the time you total up the quadlock with the respective phone case and the optimate products to hardwire it in the prices are similar.

This is a customers bike and he has the touratech rear plate. He’s able to mount a range of rear bags here. I stock the sw motech rear plates and bags.

Quadlock has a vibration damper that works very well. I have a Quadlock installed on my bike using the mirror mount to attach it to the accessory bar to the right of GPS cradle, on top of that I have the vibration damper, the hinged arm, then the wireless charger. It takes a bit of fiddling to get it mounted so it doesn't get in the way of the handlebars, but once you do it woks great and looks good.

As Correy said, I too have that dampener for my quadlock but it now visually vibrates more however I don’t think it’s as harsh. Regarding the ram, well the ram ball mounts have a bit of flex/movement in them. I don’t envisage there being any issues with vibration.

I have Quadlocks fitted to all of my bikes but I have to agree that the vibrations can be a factor. On my triple I’ve had no trouble at all, on my single it’s damaged the phone even with a dampener and the same when mounted on my GS via the mirror mount with a dampener. It’s fine when mounted on the bars though with a dampener. Lovely neat bits of kit though and if put in the right place on the right bike they are great.

@@ABIKETHING Mine visually vibrates more. The problem was in a sonic vibration. the vibrations we see are not as damaging. I have the quadlock with anti vibration On 2 quads, my GS, a dual sport, and 3 vehicles only one of the vehicles uses the anti vibration.
