Trading Michaela Onyenwere would be a big mistake for the Sky because they need a defensive wing and someone who can hit shots consistently. Michaela is likely to be that player for them. With Tyler Marsh coaching, Michaela can definitely become the Jackie Young or even Betnijah Laney Hamilton for the Sky. Marsh can develop her to be that two-way wing that can be valuable for the Sky for the future. Don't know what to do with Chennedy Carter, hoping she stays. But trading Onyenwere would be a mistake.

What I think is going on? Michaela is there priority, and foreign player likely will come over in 2026. Dana Evans is being shopped for a trade (possibly a 2nd round pick), which they have to extend qualifying offer in order to have trade rights. Chennedy Carter, the Sky do not want to sign a 1-year deal. Allowing her to become a free agent, gives the Sky the opportunity to make a multi-year deal. Although I have seen no indication from Chennedy that she wants to return, quite the opposite. The sky have every right to proceed with caution.

Chennedy can be a hard-head, but she's a dog, we need her toughness, and we definitely need her scoring, shot making ability. You can literally give her the ball and say "bring this win home for us" and she can get it done. No question. Saying I hope we bring her back is an understatement.
