QUANTUM OF SOLACE | Boat chase

Bond takes to the water in QUANTUM OF SOLACE (2008). The scene was filmed at the harbour area in Colón, Panama doubling for Kings Quay, Haiti. Director Marc Forster remembers: “The entire boat sequence was all shot for real. There was no green screen work. When I was working with Daniel and Olga (Kurylenko) I had to make sure they were secure with the stunt work, and at the same time we got what we needed action-wise.”

This movie's editing is awful. Some action scenes are almost unwatchable.

This boat chase, and the car chase at the start...the way both of them end with a sudden violent crash...always takes my breath away!

I presume that because the script was rather underdeveloped, and action scenes were mostly a bit boring, they wanted to make up for it through fast paced editing. However, it backfired, editing is too blurry, you don't really know what's going on. It's like the opposite to what they did with Casino Royale - e.. with the parkour chase, where yopu get great establishing shots, a sense of space and perspective, you really feel the tension for the whole time.

This thing had my heart palpatin' from beginning to end. Thank you to all those who post these snippits and compilations. With everything from Corona V, not being able to thrw a real party, No time to die new release date, our babies being killed in front of our eyes, systematic racism , systematic same damn colorism, trying not to have a nervous breakdown wondering what to do about these kids schooling...or babysitting bills, Bond take me away does wonders. Thank you Lord for Blessing these people with so much talent.
